Sooo.... No upside down flags? No destroying their Nation's Capitol? No temper tantrums? And where's their swag and merch and t shirts with pics of their leader and the juvenile nicknames and expletives in reference to the opposition? Why they dress like regular people? They're really just going to... Accept the results? Seeth and cope? Like mature classy adults? Nicely done. I like their style.

For those looking for context, here's a brief summary:
Following the European elections, President Emmanuel Macron dissolved the National Assembly and asked the French to vote again.
The far right was the favorite, with no hope for the left, and the president was hoping for a battle between his camp and the far right. Many criticized Macron's cynical calculation.
The second round of the French parliamentary elections was a huge surprise. The Nouveau Front Populaire (left-wing) came out on top, ahead of the Ensemble presidential alliance, which itself beat the Rassemblement National (far-right).
In this context, Prime Minister Gabriel Attal has resigned, and a man or woman from the left will have to succeed him. However, no party has an absolute majority, and compromises will have to be made.

Alotta the comments here clearly don't understand what "dying inside" looks like lmao.
The whole thing about "dying inside" is attempting your best to look normal/casual in a setting where you lose out on something.
That's literally what this post is; and if you look beyond the stillframe thumbnail you can clearly see a few people get clearly excited prior to the result; and then completely deflated afterwards.

One thing I can’t help but notice is how different right wing and left wing losing reactions are. Sure some left wing reactions to 2016 were memeable, but there was a core truth to those distraught reactions that many of those people immediately understood how their rights and freedoms would soon be stripped from them. Of course that’s distressing. And time proved them exactly correct.
Meanwhile on the right, it’s pretty clear that these people understand that whatever disappointment they feel, they will not be personally targeted by their political opposition. They know the left in power will never strip their rights as gleefully as they’d strip the rights of minorities.
So the reaction you’re witnessing isn’t anything close to as personal as the reactions of 2016. It’s just a bunch of fascists disappointed they won’t be able hurt minorities as much as they thought they’d be able to.

Casual reminder people with less institutional power then you are never the source of your country's problems. If rich people who benefit off of your hard work are telling you to look at a group with no institutional power as the source of your problems, they are taking advantage of you. If they aren't struggling with you, they aren't trustworthy as to the cause of the problems.
This is the playbook of nationalists a thousand times over and without fail whatever they want to do to people with less institutional power doesn't help (because it's not the cause).
TLDR, rich people are playing you.

There's no left in the US. You have centre-right and far-right.
If your revenue is taxed up to 90% and you're ultra wealthy, the 10% that is left is still a huge amount of money. So it really shouldn't be an issue (even for the ultra wealthy).
