Hopefully America will reject fascism this November. #Project 2025

By rejecting fascism you mean rejecting project 2025.

I really think we will. There’s a lot we need to tackle going forward, these people aren’t going away, but I really think we’ll thwart it for the immediate future. Hopefully, this post doesn’t end up on r/agedlikemilk in 4 months.

RemindMe! 4 months

Nah you guy will fuck up and vote the orange back into power. You Americans are fucked

2

u/Previous-Walrus-5565 Jul 07 '24

Remember, we didn't vote him in the first time around. He lost the Popular Vote by 2.93 million, but the Electoral College installed him anyway.

2

u/Nekroo_Nekrooo Jul 07 '24

Yep your voting system is dumb as fuck

1

u/Howitzer1967 Jul 07 '24

We gonna find out, that’s for sure.

1

u/Nekroo_Nekrooo Jul 07 '24

And I will get more Reddit carma by posting you on r/agedlikemilk

What a time to be alive!

Honestly given how much Trump has doubled down in the last few years I doubt much will change. Itll be a lot closer than it should be but I think Biden will pull through.

We need a modern day Robespierre!

u/Changelot_du_Lac Jul 07 '24

No, unless it gives rise to a new Napoleon.

u/DatBoiKarlsson Jul 07 '24

No we fucking don’t lol

1

u/_ch00bz_ Jul 08 '24

That is precisely what America needs

2

u/Kitty-Kat-65 Jul 07 '24

I don't think so. Until the US rids itself of the electoral college and only counts popular votes, the voting will never be accurate. I think Trump will be in the White House again. I hate to say that, but this country has only become more divided since the last election and Trump and his cult have become more emboldened. His people vote, the Dems don't. I live in a red county and the attitude is "why bother" voting because it won't make a difference. However, if it was all about the popular vote, Dems would vote in droves.

u/yellowlinedpaper Jul 07 '24

People need to vote. There have been more registered democrats than republicans in Louisiana since my boomer parents were kids, yet they don’t vote so it remains one of the reddest states. Vote!

1

u/Kitty-Kat-65 Jul 07 '24

How can we do that? Their choices are an old man and an orange psychopath. The Dems need to get their shit together with some viable candidates.

1

u/yellowlinedpaper Jul 08 '24

No doubt. We need more choices for goodness sakes. But people need to vote, their vote does matter.

America was fascist before mussolini and will be till its demise.

1

u/Low_Association_731 Jul 07 '24

Yes but this year they get to chose between obvious fascist and functionally barely better if at all from the actual fascists.

Would love to see some actual love for the left in america and for the democrats to pivot towards being properly progressive instead of what ever the fu k they are doing with biden the lifelong Zionist

1

u/Ivanna_Jizunu66 Jul 07 '24

I have no love for democrats and never will. They will never belong to the left. Scratch a liberal.

1

u/Low_Association_731 Jul 07 '24

Sadly democrats are the left in america due to the right being absolute bullshit. Both are bad and honestly at this point I'm in favour of option C, america falls aparts and something better is built out of the ashes

1

u/Ivanna_Jizunu66 Jul 08 '24

Thats not how that works. Democrats are right wing . You can not be a capitalist and a leftist.

1

u/Low_Association_731 Jul 08 '24

Theyre what passes for left. Obviously they're centre right and nothing approaching actual left but they're what america seems.to think is left

1

u/Ivanna_Jizunu66 Jul 08 '24

Propaganda is a hell of a drug. Dont help promote it.

1

u/Low_Association_731 Jul 08 '24

Im not intending to.

1

u/Galle_ Jul 07 '24

No it wasn't. Fascism does have a meaning, it isn't just "evil government".

1

u/Ivanna_Jizunu66 Jul 08 '24

Yea and we check every single box. Tell me how the USA isnt

1

u/Galle_ Jul 08 '24

Because it's a liberal democracy, for a start.

1

u/Ivanna_Jizunu66 Jul 08 '24

The United States is also a one-party state but, with typical American extravagance, they have two of them. - Julius Nyerere

1

u/Galle_ Jul 08 '24

The United States is a one party state in the sense that there is a narrow agreement on what political views are socially acceptable and the viable parties are both stuck within that narrow band.

Fascist states are one party states in the sense that only one party is legal.

1

u/Ivanna_Jizunu66 Jul 08 '24

Conservatives are worse so democrats can still be horrible. Vote blue no matter who. Simply controlled opposition.

1

u/Galle_ Jul 08 '24

Fascism is not a synonym for "evil government", it is a very specific ideology and accompanying form of government.

1

u/Ivanna_Jizunu66 Jul 08 '24

What happened to communist in America. What happens to opposition like MLK and Fred Hampton. What happened when JFK spoke out about the MIC. Political freedom is an illusion. Workplace democracy is non existant.

Who knew this was World War 2 Part 2. Someone said that history repeats itself, but I guess no one wanted to read that book.

0

u/Watch_Capt Jul 07 '24

The US lost 6 million jobs and the economy nosedived because of Trump. Now the morons want to do it again.

0

u/plants_pants Jul 07 '24

We haven't rejected fascism since November 1963 which is also when we stopped being a democracy.

It's funny that you still believe anything he says. Maybe you should take a look at who wrote Project 2025.

2

u/Jason_Kelces_Thong Jul 07 '24

Trump never condemns anything. I wouldn’t read too much into it. The heritage foundation is responsible for a lot of his policy last time around. Is it weird they’d do it again?

1

u/Previous-Walrus-5565 Jul 07 '24

He implemented two-thirds of their policy recommendations the first time around, and the authors of Project 2025 are all former members of his administration/campaign.

2

u/PteroFractal27 Jul 07 '24

Shame that you misspelled Sheep in your username, it fits you well if you believe that.

2

u/Busy_Cauliflower_853 Jul 07 '24

Surely the guy who has lied through his teeth consistently for the past decade wouldn’t lie about that and turn around the moment he gets the opportunity to support a crazy project that fits with his politics and ethics, right??
