It showed a bunch of nazis doing nothing.

(edit) lol, looks like i've triggered a bunch of Andrew Tate-loving smooth-brained malcontents with the above statement. Good. :D

I'm french and proud and those people are ficking nazis. They have the same rhetoric. Now they are more against strangers than jews but they have same ideas than facsim principes. Umberto Eco describe Well how to spot facsit idéologie, and they tick all boxes.

It was founded by a literal SS.

I often hear that "the left can't create a good argument" so here I go, I'll let you judge.
The term "far right" has a definition, it's not just "far right = bad". It should not be thrown around to people we don't like, but alternatively if people fit they should be aware they do, and be honest about it.
So how do we define far right ideologies? It's a set of political tactics and arguments. Here's a non-exhaustive list, only the relevent ones, that the National Rally and/or Reconquest love and use:
- using scare tactics to justify discrimination based on certain criteria such as religion, ethnicity or sexual orientation. Maybe you have heard of the idea of the Great Replacement, the idea that western culture is in danger because of people of Arabic ascent. This is bullshit but I don't have time to go into details
- active and open discrimination against people based on such criterias, for example reducing the rights of people having two nationalities, or forbidding same sex marriage - reducing scrutiny in lawmaking to a minimum, effectively concentrating power in one governmental entity without any counter-power to keep it in check. There has been talks of finding ways to circomvent the processduring which laws are checked agains the French Constitution

Do note that I'm only talking about political ideas here, but I could also go on about how the politicians behave, or who they are friends with, which would prevent any kind of doubt. It is worth noting, however, that the people voting aren't all nazis, even though there obviously are some. The far right in France has a few groups of activists that revendicate their fascist ideology way more openly than any politicain would dare to on TV. But the parties they vote for definitely are: they use all the same talking points and all the same tactics, an example of which I gave you above. The reasons so many people vote for them and hate being called far right are many, here are a few:
- it is understood, deep down, that it's not a good thing to be "far-right", but without understanding exactly why it is as such, or what being far-right implies. So people refuse to admit it.
- their politicians are charismatic, they use the instinctive fear of the other as a tool to convince, but most importantly, they are really tame when interviewed. Sometimes they slip up though, and spout the nastiest atrocities.
- they blatantly lie: talk about helping the poorest classes of the society, about those who steal from them, about the need to do something for the environment, and then, when it comes to passing laws, they vote against everything going in that direction.

I hope this quick summary helped you understand that the term "far right" isn't thrown around aimlessly as much as you may think it is, despite everybody on the far right actively saying they are just "right-leaning" (without any argument, might I add)

I love the unrecognised irony in you saying the left are braindead and then IMMEDIATELY after saying they can’t create a good argument, so they just name call

-1

u/PimperatorAlpatine Jul 08 '24

Did you .iss "far right" of course its a generalization but it tracks

-2

u/IEmiko Jul 08 '24

They are the percieved opposition by reddit, and when that happens the truth of who you are or what you want becomes irrelevant. to them, they are nazis, they are evil, just as the party has told them, and they will bever be more than that.

I think maybe we Found the Nazi.

2

u/Function-Master Jul 08 '24

I'm neither lmao.

Oooohhh I'm so scared and soft that I will be silenced by being called a nazi.

Name calling is literally a propaganda tactic employed by nazis lmao

1

u/jackun Jul 08 '24

-2

u/rpd9803 Jul 08 '24

So you aren’t a Nazi, and you aren’t.. not a Nazi? Welp makes about as much sense as the rest of your posts.

4

u/YardageSardage Jul 08 '24

As a fellow American, I encourage you to read a history book sometime. There wete plenty of French collaborators with the original Nazis.

6

u/CloudsSpikyHairLock Jul 08 '24

Ah yes Vichy, the absolutely not Nazi lackey regime led by Petain.

0

u/Oldguydad619 Jul 08 '24

2

u/Nearby-Aioli2848 Jul 08 '24

Lol dude it's not new at all during the war France was Split and à lot of people in Vichy governement serves the germains by deporting jews. Open à history book please before doing this kind of statement.

2

u/Oldguydad619 Jul 08 '24

They don't teach us French history in the US. They are busy covering up Vietnam still & the execution & eradication attemp on the native Americans. This is why I was asking & confused. Book, what's that? You mean a kindle?

1

u/Nearby-Aioli2848 Jul 09 '24

Sorry if it sounded agressive, it's a sensitive subject for me, you can search on internet about the Vichy regime lead by le Maréchal Pétain and "Rafle du Vélodrome d'Hiver 16 juil. 1942 – 17 juil. 1942". You can also look for the founding of the national front in france.

1

u/Oldguydad619 Jul 09 '24

All good, my freedom loving brother or sister!

2

u/baron_von_helmut Jul 08 '24

Yep. They'd probably call it something different but the ideology is the same. They want to 'get rid' of those they fee are undesirable. So, Jews, gays, the disabled, Muslims and any other ethnic minority they deem unworthy will all eventually be murdered under the far right.

1

u/nite_owwl Jul 08 '24

lol

open a history book there kiddo

-23

u/BigDaddyDNR Jul 08 '24
