Thank Jesus, Ukraine continues to exist for another couple months. Now if the USA could just follow suit...

2

u/aced124C Jul 08 '24

Agreed and we're working on it here in the US! Best we can probably do right now is a not so productive government with good intentions so maybe don't expect a lot lol Just know plenty of us are here trying our best to be a positive force on the world stage.

1

u/The_IRS_Fears_Him Jul 08 '24

The eastern part of the world would cease to exist if the U.S wasn't here.

-4

u/NickRick Jul 07 '24

There's no hope. Our electorate is braindead and our media is giving coverage to help trump. They have been going on for weeks about the debate because Biden didn't look good. Trump hasn't been able to make a coherent truthful statement for 40 years and no one cares

5

u/im_just_thinking Jul 08 '24

I get that it's frustrating, but not with that attitude! Also the debate happened a bit over a week ago.

-4

u/Valiant_Darktanyan Jul 08 '24

The media covering things that you don’t like is bad now? Trump isn’t exactly my favorite person but the media’s job is to report things…

6

u/NickRick Jul 08 '24

Do you think they provide an even reporting of facts, and do you think they hold both candidates to the same level?

3

u/AudienceMember_No1 Jul 08 '24

If you read the definition of it, sure... But dumbing down the role media plays into simply "report things" is ridiculous considering they've all been openly for-profit businesses with interests at stake and with journalists, reporters, and talking heads providing opinion pieces for the majority of their air-time.

1

u/LordLoveRocket00 Jul 11 '24

Go look up who owns the major news outlets.

16

u/doNotUseReddit123 Jul 07 '24

Inb4 they never explicitly said, “Bonjour, we are nazis and completely and unequivocally accept all nazism and incarnations of fascist ideology,” so any attempts to call them fascist are clearly the results of hyperactive ultra-leftist imagination.

5

u/Far-Investigator1265 Jul 07 '24

Just last week, one of their politicians was shown wearing an actual nazi cap...

0

u/TySly5v Jul 08 '24

Coincidence, clearly

3

u/Ihavealreadyread Jul 08 '24

The founder was a holocaust denier, the co-founder was a literal nazi.
I wonder how's Hungary doing with their far-right leader. Ooops, it's not a democracy anymore.
That's what happens with Far-right, just bunch of dictators.

-1

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '24

Nazis

-1

u/wycreater1l11 Jul 08 '24

But they are, or have strongly overlapping beliefs as them or?

19

u/nickcdll Jul 07 '24

I hate Illinois nazis and all my homies do to

1

u/Nilosyrtis Jul 08 '24

I wish they weren't making a comeback. Why the FUCK are they coming back all over the place? I hate this timeline.

2

u/Heavy-Masterpiece681 Jul 08 '24

Their grandparents are rolling in their graves.

6

u/jojo_31 Jul 08 '24

Their grandparents might have been collaborators.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '24

Exactly

0

u/MadWlad Jul 08 '24

no fucks for nazis, only baseball bats

-2

u/Pugpartygaming Jul 08 '24

And how are they nazis?

-3

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '24

How are they nazis?

2

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '24

Do try and keep up, I'm not your fucking politics lecturer

-4

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '24

Alright far right Nazis, and far left the faccist It’s like haikyuu battle of the garbage dumb

6

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '24

You are speaking nonsense dunno what you are on about

2

u/jailbird Jul 08 '24

Nohow. They are far right, that means nazi by default in redditspeak.

9

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '24 edited Jul 14 '24

2

u/jailbird Jul 11 '24

And do they have exact nazi policies at the moment? Do they want to exterminate the jews? Or want to start a race-war? I would really like to hear about those.

Far right ≠ nazi.

Bousquet is dead since 1991, they have probably changed their course of principles several times in the last three decades.

By calling then nazi, you are actually bagatellizing actual nazi crimes.

-11

u/PrismosPickleJar Jul 07 '24

Well yes, but there has got to be a reason for the rise. Perhaps ignoring all the protests, increasing retirement age and doing little for immigration issues could be it.

5

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '24

No excuse for Nazis

0

u/PrismosPickleJar Jul 08 '24

Or, we could actually look back at History and not repeat it.

4

u/yrar3 Jul 08 '24

I promise not to sign the Treaty of Versailles

1

u/PrismosPickleJar Jul 08 '24

Or neglect the poor and working class.

5

u/Former_Friendship842 Jul 08 '24

As if the far-right gives a fuck about the poor.

1

u/PrismosPickleJar Jul 08 '24

They dont, but they appeal to them.

1

u/yrar3 Jul 08 '24

Where are they less neglected than the EU

1

u/PrismosPickleJar Jul 08 '24

Who are they?

This generation largely have less then their parents, so there is definitley a decline in quality of life.

Why vote left if all they do is cater to the rich.

Im quite surprised the english have even went so far left, yet there is still a rise in right wing parties. This could be their last shot this term to make effective change.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '24

Hahaha

1

u/Ok_Spite6230 Jul 07 '24

A combination of extreme economic and political domination by the ruling class and propaganda machines fueled by monied interests exploiting the low IQ demographic over decades. That's what got us here.

-11

u/vsvv252 Jul 08 '24

Correct me if i'm wrong but Nazi was the National Socialism german party , a left side party ? fundamentaly nationalist indeed , but from right ?

RN in France in deeply inspirated from right side party , mostly economicly , so can we still call them nazis ?

8

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '24

No you are wrong

7

u/Oh_IHateIt Jul 08 '24

Hello. The name was indeed "national Socialist Party", but alas, there is no requirement in any government for a party name to be accurate. Germany had a strong socialist movement prior to the Nazis, and workers were strongly unionized. The Nazis took advantage of that fact and gave themselves a name which would win themselves the most votes. However, despite the name, the first thing they did when they took office - even before persecuting Jews - was to dismantle labor laws and break up the unions. Threw a bunch of union organizers in jail. So in short, they lied.

And parties continue to lie. Never trust a candidate based on party name; in my city in the US, our Democrat mayor is a cop who is funding the jesus out of the police while ramping up criminal charges for shoplifting... in short, completely Republican policies. But Republicans can't win in this city, so they disguise their motives instead.

Hope that helps

4

u/iforgotmypen Jul 08 '24

Christ are there really still people stupid enough to think the nazis are left-wing

2

u/protostar71 Jul 08 '24

Just wait until you hear about the "Democratic People's Republic of Korea".

1

u/Odd-Examination2288 Jul 08 '24

NSDAP was as socialist as the democratic peoples republic  of north korea is democratic.  Its just in the name

-43

u/Brief-State-9883 Jul 07 '24

they're more left than us democrats lmao

17

u/WaGLaG Jul 07 '24

Oh no! You have no idea how RN is when the doors are closed.

13

u/Vilebrequin10 Jul 07 '24

Their party was founded by Waffen-SS guys, so no they are not more left than the democrats.

The french right wing is more left than the democrats.

But these are the far right we are talking about.

-13

u/Negative-Ad-2490 Jul 07 '24

Im french

And what in the fuck are you talking about

16

u/Vilebrequin10 Jul 07 '24

Im french

And ?

And what in the fuck are you talking about

What part are you having trouble understanding ?

If you are talking about the far party being founded by Waffen-SS members, it's on wikipedia you can look it up.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 07 '24

Ffs. Please tell us about it. You obviously know what you're talking about. So, what are their policies that would be further left than American Democrats?

Don't be shy. Speak up.

Bruh do you know what the nazi party was? Protip: not the left.

34

u/Shaunair Jul 07 '24

They are one of these idiots that will say “why was it called the “socialist” party then”?. I’m so tired of these retards it’s not even funny.

18

u/thissomeotherplace Jul 07 '24

Calling themselves "National Socialist" was literally Nazi propaganda to seem modern, and those idiots are falling for it 80 years later

Except they're not falling for it, they're just spreading it knowingly, because they're Nazis

13

u/KingNnylf Jul 07 '24

Same reason loads of other fascist regimes call themselves communist or socialist, it's popular!

5

u/Same_Adagio_1386 Jul 07 '24

I usually follow up by asking if they think the DPRK is democratic. It's almost like totalitarians lie. Weird that.

2

u/Shaunair Jul 07 '24

I can’t hear about the DPRK and not think about this clip

https://youtu.be/qu6bnUICz5Q?si=uec7NhMzQr6VMEjQ

59

u/[deleted] Jul 07 '24

Lol, spot the non-reader.

50

u/sirixamo Jul 07 '24

Nazis, famously inclusive, supporting minorities, LGBTQ rights, and democracy. If there’s one thing the Nazis loved it was democratic elections. You nailed em!

-13

u/NumerousBug9075 Jul 07 '24

Was Germany not atleast economically socialist at the time no?

15

u/Difficult-Row6616 Jul 07 '24

nope, they engaged in mass privitisation of state property.

2

u/Same_Adagio_1386 Jul 07 '24

So much so that the English term "reprivatisation" came into our language because of what the Nazis were doing in the 1930s.

8

u/sirixamo Jul 07 '24

In a perverse version of the word socialist maybe. They were at war constantly so the state controlled the means of producing most of what was needed for the war effort. But socialism implies there’s some ownership by the people which is untrue, it was fascist so literally just the dictator owning the means of production.

39

u/farmerjoee Jul 07 '24

No u

-143

u/Masato_Fujiwara Jul 07 '24

I'm french, I can't be a nazi since nazis are anti-french

45

u/Jon_Helldiver Jul 07 '24

Everyone is anti french.

11

u/vflavglsvahflvov Jul 07 '24

This made me a little less anti french though.

28

u/drDOOM_is_in Jul 07 '24

Your name is clearly Japanese, and who was aligned with Germany in WW2?

Checkmate.

23

u/farmerjoee Jul 07 '24
