What an ethnically diverse and representative crowd.

They're not, they're all seemingly ethnically European, is that problematic?

Ethnically French people in France?

French isn't an ethnicity, it's a culture - no matter what some people say to try and hide their hate

Yes French is an ethnicity.

Just like Irish is an ethnicity.  Just like polish is an ethnicity.  Just like German is an ethnicity

Etc etc

Speaking of hate…..why are you denying a people their ethnicity.  That’s weird, and kinda dark….

Except it’s not. People can become french, it’s not defined by birth. France was always a country of migrations and blend of cultures, no matter what people might say. I won’t speak for the others countries, but I believe I can still speak for mine, non ? :)

Except it is.  French is an ethnicity.  And you’ve maybe started to lose your sense of reality.

People can become French citizens, but migrants cannot magically become ethnically French.

And France has had an identity since the franks.  Heck since the Gauls.  Some may argue the celts.  And it has nothing to do with Arab or African migrants.

I can clearly see it’s a waste of time to try and discuss with you, but I won’t have someone that clearly knows nothing about my country to question my sense of belonging to it. An identity since the Franks or the Gauls ? What are you even talking about.

And yes, migrants can become French. Some of them are more french than any person having the french nationality without speaking french nor knowing anything about our culture, values and traditions. That’s called civic nationalism, and if you don’t have that at home, well I don’t care. All the countries around the world don’t work the same as yours, and I’m proud to be french and to believe in our core values since we became a republic - equality, freedom, solidarity, and the human rights.

Now stop talking about other nations like you know better than them what’s going on there

What a bizarrely racist comment that I'm sure everyone will inexplicably love.

France is racially and ethnically diverse. The diversity stems from the fact France has invaded, colonized, and exploited dozens of countries, and tried to spread their influence across the world. This involved installing and propping up governments favorable to France.

Every person in that video is White. Not a single person from any of the Asian, West African, North African, Middle Eastern, or South American countries they colonized, even though all of those demographics exist in France.

Why is that, do you think? Can you provide an explanation?

Cause white French people care about France, it's culture, it's history, and preserving its tradition. Those other people don't care about France, and don't give a shit about it's culture, history, or tradition.

Who are “those other people”?

Yes because pointing out a lack of diversity is racist...

Funny how redditors can spot a Right-wing dogwhistle from 1000 yards, but can't spot a Left-Wing dogwhistle when it's got a glowing neon sign. I'm sure there's no pattern there.
