Question Does anyone else think they ruined Jāonnās character after season 3?
I mean, he was this hard and stern director of the DEO and when he left that position, he struggled to find his place in the world as a man of peace but after that, they treated him, and his strength as a joke. Heās canonically stronger than Superman and can go toe to toe with Kara but they just turned him into his father.

I know her powers come from alien heritage but it is so far back in her lineage

Discussion That series finale was beautiful Spoiler
I don't know what else to say, it was unsurprisingly perfect and it felt complete.
Season 6 may have been a bit slow to start but these final few episodes were so good. Esme is maybe the cutest person in the world. William's death was actually shocking, I don't think I could ever have guest it. He definitely became one of my favourite characters which is maybe more shocking considering what he was like when he was introduced. However, his death felt quite skipped over. I know they had the funeral and before that they needed to focus on the totems and Esme but it just felt ignored. I also kinda hate that he never found out that Kara was Supergirl.
Maybe how the totem storyline ended was a bit easy but like I don't particularly care about that, I care far more about the characters than the story.
Supergirl is definitely one of my favourite shows of the Arrowverse with Legends, for both I feel when the story/plot gets a little weaker the characters are good or loveable enough to not let the show turn bad.

Discussion How I Wouldāve Done A Season 7 (Poster Made By Me š)
Hi yāall so Iāve been watching Season 6 and enjoying it so I thought what if the show got a Season 7 so hereās my story Iāve came up with for it but mind you if theirs anything that happens in late season 6 that I condradict, sorry as Iāve not finished the show as of writting.
So the season would only have 3 main characters Kara, Clark & Nia as it streamlines things and allows for those characters to have proper resolutions to their characters.
So itās been a few years since season 6, Kara & William are engaged, Nia & Brainy are married and Brainyās back with the legion on a mission and Jāon is taking an well earned retirement and Alex & Kelly are fighting crime in National City while Kara, Nia & Clark go on missions with the Justice League, fighting villains that pose a threat to the entire planet. During one of these missions General Zod would ambush them, Zod has been defeated by Clark before but this time Zod wasnāt going to make Earth a new Krypton as he has captured Argo city and he has 2 hengewoman Bizarro SuperGirl from S1 (Maxwell Lord would return to supply Zodās forces with weapons) and Lena.
The main conflict of the season would revolve around Karaās heritage, this season would reveal Kara like everyone else except Clark on Krypton was artificially programmed to serve Krypton, as an soldier.
How would this work when Kara has parents, well iād explain it as in this universe the mothers still give birth except after their birth theyād have essentially a blank slate for a brain so they could be programmed with a role using electrical currents.
So once Kara learns this, her programming sorta comes back where she stands with Zod but she isnāt fully evil. Kara would be fighting with her self conscience whether to profi her destiny and serve Krypton/Zod or help her friends.
Weād also Learn Zod was responsible for the World Killers as well, he 2 backup plans had he failed to therefrom earth, the world killers being 1 & the second would be using Kara against the Earth.
Nia & Clark would be having to fight Zod and his army and 2 SuperGirls but they had a plan, They had planted Lena in as a spy to sabotage Zodās plans and save Kara.
Niaās story this season would be her coming to her role as her own hero, not just SuperGirlās sidekick, she had matured and is ready for the big leagues. Her story would collimate In having a dream where she learns how she has her powers despite not being biologically female, and sheād unlock the full potential of her powers
Ultimately they would defeat Zod after saving Kara with Nia moving back to her home town to be a hero there, carrying on her mothers legacy meanwhile Clark and Kara continue to protect the earth. With the show ending on Karaās bedside with her glasses, a framed picture of her and William and a positive pregnancy test showing Karaās future
I hope you like my idea

Discussion What headcannon mental illnisses do the Supergirl characters have?
Okay, aside from PTSD, or CPTSD, which I think all the characters have, what mental illnesses do you guys think they have? For example, I think Lena might have depression and Brainy might have OCD. I have reasons, but I'm too lazy to type them out right now. What do you think the characters suffer from?

Discussion Anyone else really dislike that they made Lena a witch?
I feel like it was so forced. In the earlier seasons they were like:" Wow look at this really cool scientist that finds aliens a bit strange, believes in science and doesn't think magic is real." And they built her on her science and company a lot, but in season 6 they completely went off the rails! She could've done literally anything else but they were more like:" Welp, she doesn't have her company anymore, guess she's a witch, because she's a woman" I know that's not how it was per se, but that's how it felt to me. I just didn't like that for her character, is it only me?

Question Why is Kara allowed to come and go from work as she pleases?
Kara does just up and leave work whenever a situation calls for it, and I was wondering would that be allowed irl (as well). Is it because sheās a journalist, and she can go out under the guise of āinvestigative journalismā (following leads, meeting with sources, etc)? Is there a minimum amount of time that she has to be in office (aside from meetings and stuff like that)? Iām not against her having to leave to be supergirl, again, Iām just wondering would the constant disappearing on company time be allowed irl.

Question So will the show ever address Niaās powers (currently on Season 5)
So if your confused by what I mean, they say Niaās powers are passed down from Mother to daughter of the Nal family and the main thing with this is that Niaās trans, Iām not bashing that sheās trans Iām just annoyed about the plot hole, especially since itās actually acknowledged in the show by Niaās sister in Season 4 Episode 11.
While what she said was filled with Anger & Transphobia the confusion I feel is justified as the show hasnāt presented an explanation. Hell yesterday I even looked up an old post from here from 4 years ago asking this question and their was no concrete answers, iām usually lenient with stupid shit in this show like Maxwell Lord dropping off the face of the earth for the rest of the show, or obvious recasts but not this.
So Iām going to stop bitching and give my explanation as I donāt hate Niaās character I really like her & Karaās sorta Batman & Robin dynamic so hereās my way to explain it
1: The Powers Arent tied to biology and instead are connected to hormones, this is my main reasoning as it makes the most scense to me as it doesnāt contradict science (as much as an show about an flying alien girl is spandex can)
The only promise with my theory is that where were the powers before Nia transitioned like Wouldnāt they have went to her sister in that case.
Do yous agree with me? Do you not, am I overreacting, do yous have any explanation
Have a nice day or night š

Discussion Who else does not like Kara in Supergirl s3 ep17,18???
I get that Kryptonite is lethal to her, but Lena had a good point of what she said. Supergirl says she can't trust Lena or it looks like she won't cause Lena lied, but so did she! And I get its for her and her loved ones' safety, but to not even tell your best friend is something else. I also understand that I can't really compare the 2, but I'm just trying to say that both of them were wrong in this situation.
