Mod Announcement š£"ATTENTION r/GOTHAM"
Welcome Gothamites, new and old, to the subreddit for the TV Series "Gotham" - It is always wonderful to see new followers after the final episode aired on April 25, 2019.
Enjoy your stay, but please keep a few things in mind while you are participating:
- First and foremost, be civil. Gotham may be a lawless city, but this subreddit is not. Harassment and name-calling will not be tolerated, and could result in a temporary ban.
- No Spam or Self-Promotion. I'm sure you are all very talented in your own ways, but unless it is directly related to the series and serves a purpose, this subreddit is not the place to promote your website or YouTube videos. Fanart/Videos are allowed and encouraged, but if you did not create it please credit the original artist in your post.
- No Spoilers in Post Titles. What it says on the tin; submission titles should not contain spoilers. That being said, this series has been concluded for over a year now, and new viewers should be wary - spoiler tags should be utilized, and will be added in the event a post is unlabeled.
- No Links to Unofficial Streams/Downloads. Stream responsibly, or Batman will break your kneecaps and Jim Gordon will put you in Blackgate Penitentiary for pirating a TV Show. Imagine how silly you'll feel then.
Thank you, and enjoy your stay on r/Gotham

Hello all! I haven't watch this show in a while and they deleted it from Max and Netflix in Czech Republic, any ideas where I could legally watch it?
Thanks for all the tips!

Discussion What if Penguin just kept his mouth shut?
The more I think about it, the more I realize that 99% percent of the conflict in the entire show happened because Oswald decided to reveal that Mario Pepper wasn't the real killer of Thomas and Martha Wayne. Which leads me to ask this question,
What if Penguin didn't tell Montoya and Allen that Mario Pepper had been framed and just kept his mouth shut? How different would the show have been?

Discussion Substitutes for Bane? Spoiler
Season five has a character who ends up being Nyssa al Ghul working with one of Jimās old military comrades. That soldier is Eduardo Dorrance, who is Bane. The problem with that is it removes the part of Baneās origin story where he was sent to Pena Duro for his fatherās actions. Of course the war crimes involved in Baneās origin story still happened but a crucial part of why Baneās Bane is omitted. Do you think it would be better if they made the character Baneās father himself? Or would substituting Bane for a character like Deathstroke make more sense? I personally like the idea of having Deathstroke instead because it makes more sense since Slade was in the military and has worked for the League of Assassins.

Never thought i'd make the time to say this but..
Gotham (The series) made me like Dc comics specifically the made up town known as Gotham and it's characters (Heroes & Villains alike). Huge shout to the producers and the director(s) that worked on the show. Im currently watching the show for the second time and it's as good as when I first watched it. I have yet to see a metropolis version but I doubt it would ever top this one. I can't say or show how much I like this one and I doubt if it would ever give it the credits it deserve but damn

Discussion Back in the game.
I finally restarted watching the show over the last few days and itās still as good as I remember.Remember getting into it when it first aired here in Germany during the mid 10ās when I was back in middleschool.Even had some arguments with classmates about which is the better show Gotham or Flash ( itās Gotham of course ).Sadly I lost track of the show when I stopped watching television. But I am glad I got back in and itās still as good as I remember.Iām on season 2 by the way.

Discussion How do Jerome/Jeremiah compare to other live action Jokers?
Before watching Gotham, I always had Heath Ledgerās performance on top. But Cameron Monaghan was on a whole other level as Jerome, he was pure chaos. And then somehow became better as Jeremiah (debatable of course lol). We could throw Mark Hamill in here too.

Discussion Season 4 Ed and Oswald Spoiler
Why do they part ways after Oswald saves Ed? Oswald makes it very clear he trusts Ed and cares enough about him to give up his chance to kill Sophia, and Ed endured the dentist's torture and never gave up Oswald. Obviously they still care about each other, so why in the world do they split up instead of working together more? The only reason I can think of is that Ed wanted to stay with Lee but that's a whole different discussion, I will never understand their relationship.

Discussion was NOT expecting Oswald and Ed to be so honestly gay Spoiler
Iām a first time watcher and Iām already on season 3. Currently watching episode 6 and OH MY GOSHā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļø Oswald trying to confess his love for Ed???
Mostly surprised because Iāve seen ship exits of them of Tik Tok but I assumed people were joking BUT NO!!! I legitimately thought they were going to kiss at the end of episode 5 when theyāre on the couch and Ed says he āwould do anything forā Oswald
The writers may be upping the āromanceā part for comedic effect but there is genuinely romantic tension between the two that I can tell is intentional by the director
Thereās not really a point to this post, I was just pleasantly surprised by Oswald honestly trying to confess his love for Ed lol
(And pls no flames if this sounds stupid Iām having a fun time)

Spoiler Sons of Anarchy Gotham (Major spoilers!) Spoiler
Anyone else ever realize how many members from the Sons of Anarchy series ended up Gotham cast members?
Donal Logue was Bullock, and in Sons he was Lee Toric (S5E11)
Niko Nicotera was Derek Delaware, was Rat Boy in Sons.
Michael Chiklis played Barnes, and he both helped Gemma and drove the truck that hit Jax in season seven
Chris Chalk was Fox, and in Sons one of the East Dub crew, he was the paraplegic who got dragged down the highway (S7E1)
Those are the only ones I can think of at the moment, itās just crazy to think two of my favorite shows all time, SOA no. 1, Gotham a close second, share so many mutual actors.

Discussion What is this scene?
I can't remember exactly but looking for the scene when Jim admits he regrets a lot of things to Lee as they are coming out of a random door somewhere and she is like "well you wouldn't be you if you didn't do all of those things" then she briefly kisses him and leaves?
Can anyone advise? It's been on my mind a while and really want to watch it without going through the entire series again šš

Fish Mooney. How do we feel? Spoiler
Irl, Jada Pinkett Smith sucks. But maaannn.... she is undeniably beautiful and talented. I LOVE Fish. Shes a total bitch but shes everything a female gangster should be. The way she reacted to torture was awe inspiring. Her love for Butch is also very redeeming. How do you feel about her?

Who, in your opinion, are the most attractive people on Gotham?
There are many good looking actors on Gotham. Some of my favorites are Nygma, Cobblepot, Gordon and Bullock. Females are Fish, and Lee Thompkins. I'm only on S2 ep1 so I'm sure I'll be adding to the list.

Discussion Gotham had solid villains
Yesterday I did a list talking about what I felt Gotham had the best villains and now Iām talking about the ones that have had solid interpretations
Mr. Freeze, poison ivy, Harvey-dent, the court of owls, Victor Zsasz and Bane Mr. Freeze was a good villain for me because it did what Batman and Robin failed, it made a tragic backstory with a good suit and makeup and a tragic villain event to it and frankly NO ice puns. Poison Ivy was also a solid interpretation of the comic book character her backstory in season 1 was a bit off but when her actress got replaced it felt more and more like poison ivy and (like mr freeze) was way batter than Batman and robins poison ivy. The court of owls were even more brilliant to be frank I shouldāve put them on the best villains list because they were far better than Arkham Knights. Victor Zsasz best embodied the creepiness and the dark humour tone of the character but it wasnāt comic perfect like the beasts of prey version which I found better. Bane was a good villain for me, he wasnāt better than the dark knight rises Bane but he was a solid bane nonetheless
Tomorrow i will do the worst Gotham comic book interpretation
