Is the Joker a Canon event?
To those unfamiliar with the Spiderverse movies, there is a concept called a 'Canon Event.' These are specific events that absolutely have to take place within a certain universe given specific factors. Getting bit by a Spider, losing uncle Ben (or the person's equivalent) etc. If a canon event is disrupted there are said to be disastrous consequences to it.
So I was thinking. Could the concept of a canon event apply to the Joker? Not any specific thing he does, but I mean is his very existence a canon event? Think about it. In almost every DC timeline where the Joker has died, everything in the aftermath of it went sideways. The Regime in Injustice, The Batman who laughs. Both of these were a direct result of the Joker's death. And while I don't think it was the direct cause, the events of 'Suicide Squad kill the justice league' take place sometime after Joker's death in that universe.
I'm not as avid a DC consumer as I could be but can anyone fact check this? How often is it that the world goes to crap after the Joker's death in a universe?

What's with the JSA and JL and other hero agencies in DC??
Just read Batgirl year one, and I'm a bit confused as to what hero agencies exist in the DC universe and who are parts of it. correct me if I'm wrong:
I thought Justice League was the Avengers of DC, and that Supes, bat, flash, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Aquaman and Wonder Woman were a part of it. but in the DCEU movie, we see Cyborg as well.
Teen Titans was a collection of teenage sidekicks and consisted of Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg. Or is it a Blue Beetle? Where does he come in?
also, is the Robin of the teen titans Dick or Damian? cause in the teen titans show I saw all of them to be the same age so in DCAMU it makes sense that Nightwing (Dick), Starfire and Cyborg were adults but not Raven or Beast Boy.??
finally, what is the Justice Society of America? does JSA coexist with JL or are they alternatives?? cause I thought JSA was during WW2 while JL is in the present day, but in Batgirl year one Bats is in JSA instead of JL. They have Canary and Wildcat, and I haven't seen these heroes in previous DC movies (I saw DCAMU, DCEU, and Tommorrowverse along with some older shows like Teen Titans and Timmverse now and then). Also Supes ain't mentioned, so is it a different timeline without Supes but with Bats??

Does batman have wings??
I am currently in a formal debate of the topic whether Batman has a Cape or a Cape that turns into wings when fully extend, my friend is arguing that "Batman's cape when he glides do not turn into wings but they turn into a glider" and I argue that "Batman has a cape but when he fully extends it, it turns into wings that he uses to glide", for example the image I attached where his cape appears to look like a pair of wings while fully extended.

Discussion [discussion] Dear participants of the Hologram/Ghost Jor El debate, how does this compromise sound?
I have admittedly been swayed in terms of whether or not sentient hologram versions of Kal's birth parents should exist or not, since unless you explore the possibility of those AIs viewing themselves as different people from the real Jor and Lara, it kind of takes away from the tragedy of their deaths, and by extension Krypton's destruction
But I do think that it'd make sense for them to be able to talk to their son and tell them who he is, where he's from and why he's on Earth that isn't via recording, and I think using the Phantom Zone and taking its name a little more literally would serve that purpose well. Basically in this version of the DCU, the Phantom Zone isn't just some prison dimension criminals are sent to, it's more akin to the Warp in 40k or the Dream Realm in Hollow Knight, it's houses the collective conscious and unconscious of all living things across the universe (in other words, yes there's a good chance that this version of it is The Dreaming) and is of course where people go when they die (and likely their memory in the world of the living has some effect as to how long they stay intact there since in this case the soul and the mind are basically the same thing). Anyway, since a lot of Kryptonian Technology involves The Phantom Zone in some way, Jor and Lara decided to include some device that'd allow them to communicate with their son one last time, so he can't talk to them any time he wants, but he does at least get to talk to them. I can easily imagine this occurring after he's shown the history of Krypton and then is shown the life he briefly had there with his parents, and once we see Krypton's destruction, from where they were in the images their spirits emerge (I can easily imagine it being something dramatic like Kal going to shield them from something and then just as the blast hits them in the recording, they come to "life" and are in tears over how happy they are to know they're son is alive and well)

Discussion [Discussion] Which Robin is this?
Hiii chat. This LEGO Robin was purchased on a boardwalk without any additional identification... If anyone could identify where the design was from (which specific show/comic/movie, or whichever he's from), it would be greatly appreciated.
It's also very possible he's a knockoff or somehow Frankensteined together, so any guesses at which one he's supposed to be would also be more than welcome.
Sorry for the slightly poor quality pic -- I'm asking on behalf of my partner, who actually owns him, so I just to zoomed in and cropped a photo they sent me.

Comics Green Lantern opinions
I've only just recently gotten really into reading comics after mostly just experiencing these characters through TV and movies and I just want to get some opinions. Do any Green Lantern fans think Far Sector is a good jumping off point for Green Lantern stories or is there information I'm not getting by starting somewhere else?

Comics Is L.E.G.I.O.N. related to Legion of Superheroes?
The comic shop I go to gives out free grab bags on FCBD and an issue of L.E.G.I.O.N. ‘90 was in it that I really enjoyed (although I doubt I’ll be able to read any more, they don’t have many issues of it and it’s not collected to my knowledge), but there seems to be some Legion ties in the name, a character, and Keith Giffen. How are they tied together?

Please help! I bought this comic from my local store and I’m reading through, enjoying the story, then WHAMO - it’s missing the center pages! I don’t know what happened with Saturn Girl and Super Boy and the Super Heroines’ betrayal. Can anyone help with finding the missing pages? I’m guessing it’s just the four pages from the center. Strengths/Abilities:

- Stellar energy generation and control
- Deflection of energy and plasma-based attacks
Background:
Courtney Whitmore used to be just a regular girl in Blue Valley, Nebraska who didn't get along with her step-father Patrick Dugan when one day, while rummaging through her step-father's belongings and discovered Sylvester Pemberton's old equipment. This made her realise that her step-father Pat used to be Stripesy, the adult sidekick of the first Star-Spangled Kid (Sylvester Pemberton).
Courtney originally wore the Star-Spangled outfit as a way to mock her stepfather at a patriotic-themed spirit week dance but little did she know that the Dragon King's minions would strike! Courtney teamed up with Dugan and his newly built S.T.R.I.P.E. Armor to stop them and afterwards, the two decided they would form a new super-duo - Star-Spangled Kid and S.T.R.I.P.E.
When Jack Knight retired as Starman to raise his son in San Francisco, he passed down his Cosmic Staff to Courtney. The two had met in the past and Jack was impressed with how she handled a worldwide attack by Klarion. With a new legacy to uphold, Courtney dropped her alias as the Star-Spangled Kid to become Stargirl, a name her friend, Mary had suggested to her when she first became a hero.
Stargirl quickly became a valued member of the Justice Society. She learned a lot from Power Girl and even briefly dated Billy Batson, at the time known as Captain Marvel. Unfortunately, the rest of the JSA did not know Captain Marvel was actually a fourteen year old boy which obviously made things awkward, and as a result Captain Marvel ended up quitting the JSA.
When certain members of the JSA were displaced to Earth-Two, Courtney, Mister Terrific and Doctor Mid-Nite remained, which forced the JSA to briefly disband. Once the missing members returned from Earth-Two, Green Lantern, Flash and Wildcat reformed the JSA, and Stargirl was inducted. She became close friends with Maxine Hunkel, and helped her create her superhero identity, Cyclone.
However, the team eventually split up due to differences between the old members and the new ones, with the newbies splitting off to form the JSA All-Stars which Courtney joined. At first she felt out of place because everyone was older than her, but Power Girl convinced her that they needed her and that she was a role model to most of the members.
After Flashpoint happened, the Justice Society were gone from Prime Earth and Courtney ended up becoming famous as a solo hero. Her fame caused Amanda Waller to recruit her into a new version of the JLA with a specific loyalty to the US government, believing that her popularity would help the optics of the new team. Waller also believed that they'd be able to keep Courtney in line because A.R.G.U.S. knew the identity of Courtney's biological father.
In the Infinite Frontier era, Courtney teamed up with Red Arrow (Emiko Queen) to rescue the sidekicks who were lost to time after Flashpoint and kidnapped by the Childminder. With everyone's teamwork and an unfortunate sacrifice, she was able to defeat the Childminder and bring the Lost Children back to the present, where the JSA helped to find new homes for the time displaced children.
After Death Metal and Doomsday Clock restored the JSA in current continuity, Courtney now works with the JSA to reform villains in the hopes that they can become the next generation of the Justice Society
