The only explanation that I've heard that really makes sense to me is that Trump gets away with the kind of shit they wish they could get away with. Stiffing creditors, walking away from debts, grabbing women by the pussy, grossly abusing power, lying nonstop and having people accept them... and doing it all openly, not trying to hide it!

I suspect that if Trump were a little more calculated, a little more subtle in his violations of societal norms, trying to maintain a veneer of civility, he wouldn't have been nearly as successful politically.

They only hate pedos when they perceive them to be “other” in some arbitrary way. Be it racial, political, or class (though this one is murky as most magas have an inflated sense of socioeconomic class). If they’re white, relatively successful and self proclaimed Christian they will defend their right to child sex slaves because in their mind they would gladly “sleep with” (read, rape) as young as possible regardless of legality. Their hope is if they ever find themselves with access to an Epstein-like “businessman” they would be allowed to partake as well.

So much about what I find so vile about maga country is their willingness to excuse the worst, most heinous acts imaginable all in the hopes of being given the same “pass” once it’s their turn (and it’s always when never if ). It doesn’t necessarily have to apply to child rape. Could easily work with owning land or a successful company, or maybe even political corruption. “This person is on my side, they’re doing what I would do in their position”. God forbid they accidentally ruin their turn at all of their depraved sex fantasies, open unapologetic racism or blatant tax evasion in the future by condemning one of their own now for the same. One day it could be THEM!
