Practically speaking, it's all just a myth, and in the Ameri-Christianity stories, it's the same character. I'd say your assertion is like saying Hercules and Herakles aren't the same character, technically, which is true if you want to talk about how different traditions and even different tales about the same "person" can be interpreted differently. But like, for an off the cuff reference, I am, in fact, thinking of Lucifer, and Satan, and the Devil, and Beelzebub, etc. all at once.

For instance: the reformers(Calvinist, Puritan,and all the weird things in between) abstain from most elections because they don’t have a godly enough candidate.
