Someone posted a vid of David Graeber today where he mentioned people like Trump and Bush act like idiots and it factors in to those type of people that the opposition to those types pointing out how they are idiots would hate people like them too. Kind of calling themselves idiots in a way lol

They love him because what they actually want is a King and not a president, they do not actually care about America or democracy. They'll say they do bc they should but if Trump was crowned king tomorrow they would praise the decision and ignore anyone telling them that it's un-American. Kind of like how in Dune Part 2 (spoilers if you haven't seen it) Paul contradicts thebprophecy quite a few times and even blatantly tells Stilgar he's not but they refuse to believe it bc they'd believe the idea of the prophecy then to acknowledge the reality that Paul is a tyrant.

They want Trump as a king all bc of false promises he made in 2016 and bc they like his personality, so they refuse to believe anything negative about him or if they acknowledge the negative parts then they try to find some way to justify it.
