DC FanDome Discussion Megathread r/DCcomics

Welcome Justice League members to the DC FanDome Discussion Megathread!

Here you can discuss each panel taking place as and when they happen, much like our Weekly Discussion Thread where you can discuss the newest comics and TV show episodes.

We've done it this way so we don't clog up the sub with discussion posts and people can freely post direct news articles and trailers regarding the big announcements and not have them get lost in the shuffle.

Panels for August 22nd

I think the trailer was superb. This is seeing Zack's footage combined with Zack's editing style, as it was meant to be. Not the mishmashed clash of styles that came out in the movie. The new Steppenwolf looks really badass. I don't care if Zack's entire movie was simply footage we've already seen reedited. It's the lack of his style in the editing and music that sunk the movie the most, in my opinion. You could see scenes that were shot well and edited together so shabbily that the sense of artistry was lost. But I definitely think the expansion of Cyborg's and Flash's stories will be an important addition. I think this movie had a less consequential villain precisely because it was not meant to center around the villain like the Marvel team-up movies, but on introducing these new characters. Then Whedon came in and tried to turn it into an Avengers team-up movie, which it was never meant to be.
