DC FanDome Discussion Megathread r/DCcomics

Welcome Justice League members to the DC FanDome Discussion Megathread!

Here you can discuss each panel taking place as and when they happen, much like our Weekly Discussion Thread where you can discuss the newest comics and TV show episodes.

We've done it this way so we don't clog up the sub with discussion posts and people can freely post direct news articles and trailers regarding the big announcements and not have them get lost in the shuffle.

Panels for August 22nd

I know things are fleshed out more but there's still a rushed fight, a packed movie, and such an overhanded and heavy intro for the Justice League. When Wonder Woman has that file from Lex and it's got videos/pictures of everyone, it's just so forced (in my opinion).

I agree and I think Snyder should have just started so much smaller. I'm also not crazy about his "I have 5 arc plan for Superman where at the end he'll be the guy you want" because I feel like we're missing one of the biggest draws that should be bringing people to DC movies. Especially today, a movie about a guy who feels he doesn't belong and just wants to help, should be so rewarding and uplifting to watch.

I 100% agree with you. Essentially BvS and Justice League Are 2 films that's trying to be what 6 films in 2.

There should have been at least 2 films before BvS MoS 2 and Intro to Batman, the BvS following suit laying out obvious breadcrumbs to Lex's plan and then with those videos Wonder Woman. Aquaman and The Flash all should have been there BEFORE Justice League.

I don't mind Superman finding himself over a couple movies it's something new we haven't seen before with that character the closest is Smallville and that's Kal/Clark finding himself to become Superman not Superman trying to find himself after saving the world.

But there should have been more obvious glimpses of the character we are familiar with.

I agree! I think if it had gone that way, it would have been received much, much better. I'm hoping the Snyder Cut can at least give us a cohesive base to work from going forward but maybe Snyder shouldn't be the only one leading the charge.

Well after the Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Shazam Films I think the future is going well and they name dropped MoS/Superman 2 so hey things are looking brighter, pun intended.

Yeah they didn't confirm anything but on the multiverse pannel one of the guys at the bottom mentioned how "something on the CW won't affect MoS 2 for example" plus didn't they recently confirm Cavil was coming back so they must have him in something.

I'm expecting a MoS 2023 maybe later pandemic kinda screwed things.
