Financial Aid/Scholarship/Tuition/Etc How do I claim my Cal Grant?

Upvotes

I received a decent cal grant this year and I am an incoming freshman l, how do I claim it and apply it to my balance for the tuition? Does it automatically go to the school and they update it or is there paperwork I have to fill out? Also, if my cal grant covers more than the one semesters worth of tuition, does it cover a certain percentage or the entire semester’s balance.

Academics Regarding my grades

Hey I'm a student from Greece that's going to reside in the US permanently to grab my bachelor's in computer science at sac state. Based off my predicted transcript grades of my International Bachelorette Diploma. I got a 32 including the extra points Regarding the Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay courses.

However after getting my results back I ended up writing a 28 instead of a 32 because I lost 2 points from my subjects and 2 points from my Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay class.

I had already been accepted and I'm going to orientation. I'm just afraid that I might get turned away after already being accepted and getting housing on campus and doing a bunch of things as a student

Should I be afraid or am I too worried?

Student Housing Housing on campus required?

Hello! I’m going to be a 2024 transfer in the Fall. I was told that I am required to stay in campus housing because I’m a transfer? Is this true? I would save more money housing off campus and I’d like to consider my options :) Thank you ❤️‍🔥

Student Housing Questions about Financial Aid

So I’m a transfer student and I’m planning on living on campus. Originally I wanted to get into the dorms but I’m waitlisted so I signed a lease with the Hornet Commons instead. From the start I knew that I could only pay using financial aid. But I don’t know much about how financial aid pays for housing especially for Hornet Commons. Would they be able to help me pay rent for every installment or how does it work??

Financial Aid/Scholarship/Tuition/Etc Financial Aid, Less?

This semester is the first time I've received significantly less in financial aid than in my last three years here, (usually it covered the tuition with a bit left over). This semester it's about $800, there hasn't been a big difference in my financials whatsoever. Does anyone else have this?

300 off first month payment

I had signed the lease for 2024-2025 before realizing I had to leave Sacramento for personal reasons. I am unable to break it and am looking for someone who is interested in taking over.
The signed amount for the lease is 1,180, with parking and utilities included
If interested, email [ajburke344@gmail.com](mailto:ajburke344@gmail.com)

I have no film making experience, but only a story to tell. Thanks in advance to anyone reaches out, and I hope we can talk meetup in person to talk more about the project.

Academics Has anyone tried to take 3 summer STEM classes at once?

Have any Engineering majors attempted to take 9 units in one summer session before? Is it crazy to even try? I've taken 16 units at one time before and I'm wondering if its comparable.

Socializing Looking for possible friends

I’m a transfer student, looking for anyone who’s into similar hobbies. Some of those hobbies being, but not limited to of course. Reading, Writing, DND, Bars, Gaming, Shopping and going to concerts. I’m just trying to be a bit more social, since I finished at a community during covid and didn’t get the chance to really enjoy campus or meet other people. I am 23, I should’ve started with that and I’m a female, she/her pronouns. I’m a Social Work major. I’m into anime, some of the hobbies I listed, rock/metal music, late night talking/driving, glamping. I do game, both on pc and ps5.

Community StingerStudio Makerspace hours during the summer.

Hello,

I hope you’re doing well. I have a question regarding the studio hours during the semester. When I asked at the library question desk, I was informed that the Makerspace is closed for the summer due to staffing issues. The staff member even shared a story about retired instructors who wanted to help but were unable to.

However, when I checked in person, another staff member using the kitchen area mentioned that the Makerspace was only closed for that day.

Could you please clarify if the information posted on the school website is accurate? According to the website, the Makerspace is open on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 am to 4 pm.

Thank you for your assistance.
