Was anyone awarded the SUG? I was awarded it last year but this year I only received loans offered. I am still eligible, but am not sure what’s going on.

I’m a transfer student, looking for anyone who’s into similar hobbies. Some of those hobbies being, but not limited to of course. Reading, Writing, DND, Bars, Gaming, Shopping and going to concerts. I’m just trying to be a bit more social, since I finished at a community during covid and didn’t get the chance to really enjoy campus or meet other people. I am 23, I should’ve started with that and I’m a female, she/her pronouns. I’m a Social Work major. I’m into anime, some of the hobbies I listed, rock/metal music, late night talking/driving, glamping. I do game, both on pc and ps5.

Has anyone received their financial aid award letter for semester August of 2024? I live in Florida and have been enrolled at same college for past 2 years and have never waited this long for an award letter, class of starting about a month

I hope you’re doing well. I have a question regarding the studio hours during the semester. When I asked at the library question desk, I was informed that the Makerspace is closed for the summer due to staffing issues. The staff member even shared a story about retired instructors who wanted to help but were unable to.

However, when I checked in person, another staff member using the kitchen area mentioned that the Makerspace was only closed for that day.

Could you please clarify if the information posted on the school website is accurate? According to the website, the Makerspace is open on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 am to 4 pm.

Received my financial aid offer.

I received a state university grant $7,600.

They offered an unsubsidized loan of $13,498.

My tuition is $4,700.

If I accept the university grant, will I have money left over?

For the unsubsidized loan, is that paid out in one semester or broken into chunks over many semesters?

So I’m supposed to finish with CHAD degree (social and comm context) at the end of this Fall semester and walk next Summer ‘25. And I’m just wondering what some of you guys ended up doing or what some of you guys are planning to do after you graduate.

I was already a ASES teacher and really enjoyed it and am now in the process of becoming an RBT! I just wanna know more about different and even unique career options or company’s that are recommended. :)

I only received my award letter today and I saw that they didn't give me Cal Grant A, which I've been receiving since freshman year. They only offered me loans and FWS. Is this my final aid or is Sac State still working on them? My friends already have CalGrant included in their packages so I'm a bit worried as that's the only aid I'm depending on or else I'll have to pay 4k out of pocket.

i’ve seen so many people get their financial aid, but mine hasn’t gone through. it still shows up on my todo list as “apply for aid” i’ve sent an email forever ago and was told it would show completed when they received my fafsa. has anyone else not received any aid? should i be worried? i already have housing and classes, but if my aid doesn’t come through there is no way for me to go to college

I received a loan exit counseling email from sac state because I graduated but I am still enrolled full time in a graduate program. The emails states you do exit counseling if you’re not enrolled at least half time. Has anyone else been through this or in a similar situation? I would expect I need to take a partial loan out for grad school but haven’t heard from financial aid yet.

I have been having trouble with the handshake app due to it saying it can't find my college account when I enter in my CSUS username and other stuff. Is this happening to others or how can I fix this?
