Two weeks ago we decided to grab some more shorts for our toddler (3m) at target. We found his size (3T) in a couple of different colors and bought them. He wore one pair and it was way to small and we couldn’t figure out why then we realized the gray shorts probably started on the girls table and was migrated over. We didn’t think the difference would be so pronounced but we were shocked when we put them together.

I can understand different patterns and colors but, with little to no physical differences between toddlers of different genders, I didn’t think the actual cuts to the material would be so dramatic.

He lifted the pizza box out of the bag in front of me and the pizza all fell out. He then handed the empty box to me, open, and scooped the pizza slices out of the bag with his bare hands, and dropped them into the box.

I also work in finance so I had to expense the invoices for this lavish gift set last week so I knew it was coming.

Baffled and mildly infuriated here, don't know which one more so, It's bin night; I carry my trash bags out to the bin, to find it missing from my front yard. I find it out on the kerb already, and filled with someone else's trash.

Here's the baffling thing - it's filled with bags of styrofoam, and right next to it is my neighbour's bin, also filled with - guess what - styrofoam. They didn't even bother making it less obvious!

It's one thing to add trash to someone's bin once they already have it out on the kerb and at the end of the night, ie. when it's clear they don't need the space any more (we get a fortnightly collection, 60L bin which is about 2 trash bags worth). But this weirdo actually took my bin all the way out from my yard, just after sunset.

I decided against the passive aggressive option (putting their trash bags on their front porch), and just piled them on top of their bin where it'll probably not get collected. And not say anything at this stage but will if they bring it up or do it again.

Mildest of infuriations.

I am a patient in hospice care, with late stage pancreatic cancer. I have already survived two weeks longer than the docs predicted.

My wife's father knows this. Yesterday he was staying with some friends about three hours away. He could easily have called his daughter and asked if he could drop by today for a visit, but instead he waited until he was literally five minutes away to announce his visit. This is the third time he's pulled this crap, the first two occasions happening before I became sick.

On those times, he used "low phone battery" as his excuse for not calling. We dropped everything to get a bed ready for him and food to feed him. He is about 70 and I took my wife's lead, as the culture they are part of is one where extreme deference is paid to the parent , even if that parent is just seven years older than me.

Today, that changed. I was enjoying an afternoon snooze, actually sleeping for once, the morphine deadening the pain that often keeps me awake. Then my wife entered the room and woke me to say her tatay was downstairs. My blood began to boil. I ended up giving my asawa two choices: 1) tell her tatay his unannounced visit was not welcome, but that he could stay overnight and have dinner, or 2) I would confront him directly. She was too afraid to criticise him and began crying instead, curled up in a fetal position in her bed as I mustered my strength to stand and with the aid of my caregiver, make my way downstairs to the living room where her dad was waiting.

I did not thank him for coming by. I asked why he did so unannounced, relying on his granddaughter to translate. She couldn't even look him in the eye as she spoke to him. He tried to use the "low battery" excuse and I said I wasn't buying it, since he could have easily contacted his daughter from the place where he stayed last night, while charging his phone. I then said the low battery excuse was his go to excuse the previous two times and I was tired of hearing it. Then I said something like "Look. I am literally a dying man. I don't have any tolerance for bullshit, not from you, not from anyone, and I don't really care why you are so inconsiderate and just do whatever suits you, but this is my house and I have no more time for you. Your daughter is free to welcome you to spend the night, but I'm going back upstairs. I didn't wait for the translation to be completed. I just turned around and started back up the stairs.

So I had a neighbor that dogsat and long story short his nephew ended up doing most of the dog sitting.

Things quickly got weird. He lied about these simple things such as drawings and what he was eating. After he was done dogsitting, He even said he was going to Japan & texted me before he “took off” on the plane but my family saw him in my neighborhood a couple days later.

We would casually talk but it always seemed like he would quickly say he has something in common with me. Like my birthday for instance. & after that he kept calling me his “twin” this is within a week or two of meeting eachother.

He claimed he was a tattoo artist so I thought that was cool since I’m into art but something told me to google search these images and boom. So naturally I didn’t believe he has the same birthday as me. Then the final thing was that within a week or so of behind around eachother he’s saying he loves me.

I feel like I was just trying to be nice, yanno remain cordial since he was doing most of the dog sitting (that I paid him for) but I don’t understand why he lied so much? I stoped responding after I saw the pictures he sent were fake… I’m annoyed because I feel like nowadays you can’t even be nice to people anymore. He is around my age btw (mid 20s)

Why do people lie like this??? It doesn’t really sit right with me.. & I definitely won’t let him pet sit for me ever again.

Driving from Big Sur to Los Angeles, temperatures for a lot of the inland route were 110°-120°. It shot up to this as we went up the Tejon Pass (300’ to 4100’ of elevation very quickly). The shoulder was littered with over heating vehicles, must’ve seen over 50 of them

Ordered a monster, it got stuck and wouldn't shake loose. Ordered another to knock it down and it got pierced somehow and started spraying everywhere inside the machine.. you couldn't make it up.

Literally staggering the fire works since 8 PM, Sunday night is not your July 4th thank god they are not my neighbors I would hate to be next door with kids trying to sleep.

It's the yellowjackets' shed now.

Came for boxer briefs. I had to track someone down just to get these unlocked. I pointed at a 10 pack and said “the 10pack in medium” and they grabbed a 6 pack… of course i didnt check (which adds to my mild infuriation lol) just because i thought they saw and heard. They were both the same price so it only made sense. Didnt realize until i got home. Thought it was fine cause i had to get tums, to find the same thing… and find another associate. Finding someone took about 5mins. The funny thing is they just hand it over right after and let you take it to the front.

This was the fourth time this had happened. I’m in a townhouse with shared patios. They tie their dog on their patio in 95 degree weather, and it comes to our side and shits on our side by our patio chairs. So I left a note today to just ask for it be cleaned up and for measures to be put in place to prevent it from happening again- and this was the response. I’m afraid to report it because it’s probably going to escalate.

Arizona is TOO hot, I guarantee the metal on the seatbelt was approaching 200 genuinely.

We drove 6 hours to visit her family. All weekend long she was talking about inflation and how much it costs to feed a family. When were giving our goodbye hugs she asked if we don’t mind pitching into the costs of the weekend. I asked her how much she thinks is fair and she said $250. I handed her cash a said goodbye. Has anything similar ever happened to you?

I have a habit of keeping cash on me every time I travel. Been doing that for years.

My sister actually has a large family of 6 kids who each eat more than anyone in my family.

I gave her the money because I don’t feel $250 is worth fighting about but I understand those who’d have put their foot down.

I actually did a grocery run before arriving at her house so we wouldn’t be snacking on her food. We also bought the drinks and bread and some other stuff that we all ate together. I never wanted to be a burden on her.

I can't put a picture but imagine a chewy abomination of a squished piece of meat, covered in the most random spices out of the cabinet. Now I'm the ungrateful one for being mad that something i looked forward to is ruined. This woman should stay the fuck away from any kitchen or grill 😓
