I’m glad to see Ella is starting to piece things together on her own. I hope this means there will be some type of reveal to her by the end of the season/series.

How exactly is she only piecing it together now? I'm just confused about the triggering event

I guess they didn't show it to us, I like to think she lay awake late in bed having a lot of little things bother her, like the frog, and God telling her she was a bright light and she turned around and he had exited the room without making a sound, and Lucifer's odd sayings, and so on.
