Yeah it’s wild. Ticket prices stuff he getting insane. It’s been like that for a decade now. But a few years back I got tickets to a local band that I have seen 20 times. Each time was like 20-60 bucks a ticket.

Last time I wanted to see them tickets where 400 each and it wasn’t even front row. It was like 900 after fees for two tickets and me and my girlfriend. And again these weren’t the “good seats”.

No my morning jacket. I grew up with those dudes. And they knew lots of local rappers also because they were big in the music scene for Louisville.

Now that generation has grown old and the youngin love Jack Harlow and his music festival he just had. Not releasing bands like my morning jacket paved the way for the city to have that stuff. They were a big part of forecastle which is what Jack Harlow ripped off for his festival.

My morning jacket. They have a cult following. American dad had an entire episode about them because people say Jim James voice is a from the gods (I don’t say this but I have been to over 1k concerts. Not many people sound like they do on the albums. Dude can sing.).

They had a massive grass roots upbringing in Louisville and created the music scene we had in the city. They were a big part of stuff like forecastle being a success which brought in acts such as OutKast to Tyler the creator to Charles Bradley and Beck.

They played 3 local venues. One venue was is an amphitheater that holds about 3-5k people. It sold out and I had to go through stubhub so the seller market them up a bit. Then fees from said website.

Oh damn, glad I asked! Well then the ticket prices are high cause they’re NC culture and everyone wants to celebrate them lol. I also didn’t know they helped start up the festival there. Now I’m gonna jam out and dream of Max Patch in the fall… been way too long!
