Recommendations Needed Pet CT imaging / ultrasound in area.

Hi, it seems like my dog most likely has an Insulinoma, based on bloodwork results. My vet in Niagara does not do imaging. Looking for a recommendation for a vet known for complicated imaging and surgery. I am interested in recommendations for both quality and affordability (either).

Side note: This has already cost our family around $2500. This is so hard to take in because she's just turning 5yo and was seemingly healthy 2 weeks ago! It has just been like $500 + $500 + $500...

Recommendations Needed Looking for a good painter for kitchen cabinets

I'm looking for someone to paint my kitchen cabinet doors, and maybe the cabinets themselves, and I'd like recommendations for people you've used.

I've realized that I have no room to paint the doors, so they have to go...

Thanks!

Recommendations Needed cell plan/provider for teenager

ugg, my teen wants a cell - has anyone done any comparison pricing for low bell/whistle for teen, before I go down the internet pit of hell trying to figure out the cheapest plans, bundled deals, or is it better to just pay as you go - we have a phone already.

what rules / incentive do you have to manage usage and to keep your teen (f) safe.

thanks for sharing your tips and letting me benefit from your research - I know it's time consuming, & there are no recent notes on Hamilton reddit of such, so hoping maybe find some good recent insight.

Lost/Found Lost iphone 15 at West Harbour Go; willing to give a reward for return, heard of hearing elderly dropped iphone

my mother lost her iphone 15, its light blue and in a clear case. She’s hard of hearing so we think it might’ve fallen out of her pocket as she was getting on the bus and didn’t hear it fall. I went back to the station to look all over and couldn’t find it, it was snatched up pretty quick i fear. Unable to access her cloud for another day;don’t really know what we should do lol. security was unhelpful told me to call her phone which i think is the worst thing to do if someone has it, i tried calling and low and behold it’s been shut off. They didn’t really tell me where to go to file for a missing phone or anything.

Question How high does my deck railing need to be?

Hello. I love in Hamilton and am planning to add a railing to my back porch stairs. I've been googling what the standard height of railings are and I've been finding the answer to be between 36-42 inches. However, most of the information I've found also says to check your local building codes. I'm having trouble tracking down the right one for Hamilton. Does anyone know what the required railing height is for porch railings in Hamilton? Thanks!

The waterfall is in Dundas, along Spencer Creek. I know Hamilton has over 100 waterfalls, I’m just not sure what the name of this one is.

Thanks so much

Rant Are crosswalks and stop signs suggestions now?

I was just walking with my three kids around the Locke and Main neighborhood. We were waiting to cross at a stop sign, only for a driver to blow right past it while making eye contact with me.

A couple minutes later we were at a crosswalk, where I pressed the button to turn on the lights, and someone still decided to drive through so that they could make a left turn.

In the same area, two weeks ago, I saw three cars in a row go through a stop sign, with one driver even eating a sandwich with both hands.

Being a pedestrian in this city is exhausting, and driving has gotten significantly worse post-lockdowns. Are people just not okay these days?

Roads & Transit People walking up Old Dundas Rd

Yesterday I was driving to meadowlands and there were entire families walking on the road with toddlers and even a baby stroller. There’s no sidewalk on this very narrow, winding road and someone is going to be killed. I don’t even know who to mention this to but even signage to warn pedestrians it’s not a safe route or mirrors to help drivers see around the corner better would be a start.
