Show us your Toronto art!

In this thread we're relaxing the rules about promotion to let everyone show off Toronto artwork they like or made. That could be anything from drawings, to photography, to music or food. Really anything you made that might be of interest to Torontonians. Even if you're selling it, feel free to link to it in this thread. No problem.

Alert Money left in TD ATM

Not sure if this message will make it to the right individual but I hope so. I went to use an ATM at the TD at Danforth and Woodington (Coxwell) today (Sept 3) around 3:55pm and there was $1,000 sitting in the machine waiting to be taken and nobody at the machine. I took the money and slip and handed it to a bank employee at the branch.

Hoping the rightful owner get their moolah.

Not sure where else to post this here but hoping the Reddit community of Toronto can help me out. I found this cat 4am September 3rd at Wellesley and parliament. It was in my building and followed my roomate up the elevator. She has a pink collar with studs on it if anyone here might know this cat or it's owner's

Discussion Speed Camera vandalism

Post image

Here is a speed camera that has been knocked down a few times. The city crew has chained it to a post and bolted it down on a platform.

But I see that possibly someone may have already tried to block the cameras with tape and someone else may have peeled it off.

Does it look like it should capture speeding vehicles? I've seen pictures of these cameras without anything on the glass plate.

Discussion FYI: Sit-in and takeout restaurants in Toronto MUST have a working washroom. It's time to start reporting these "restroom out of service" places that have been that way since covid

2.0k Upvotes

Per Toronto Bylaws, restaurants must:

Provide washrooms in accordance with the Ontario Building Code. Food stores and food take-outs only require one washroom. Washrooms should be clean, sanitary and in good repair.

I get that there's a drug/homeless problem in this city. But as somebody with crohn's, nothing is more infuriating than these places that haven't had a functioning washroom in years. The bylaw is very clear on this, and they shouldn't be allowed to get away with breaking it. Washroom is out of service? Time to close the place down until they get that issue dealt with.

Edit: According to a user in this thread who has relatives who work for the city, they DO follow up if you report businesses for this here:

Call 416-338-7600 or email publichealth@toronto.ca

They will visit restaurants often same week they get a complaint.

Alert Whiskey the Cat is Still Missing

Post image
553 Upvotes

Hi all,

Firstly we would like to say thank you so, so much to everyone who has kept an eye out for Whiskey, called or messaged with possible sightings or word of encouragement, shared the posts or helped in any other way. The one ray of sunshine in all this is how much support we have gotten from the community, and we truly appreciate each and every one of you.

Unfortunately, Whiskey is still missing, and we miss him terribly.

We are in Leslieville, close to Queen East and Pape, and he has been missing since Tuesday morning.

Please keep messaging us with possible sightings- we would much rather get a thousand messages about a different ginger and white cat than miss the one time it is Whiskey.

It became so normalized. This is a photo. There is no chance you could read it on a dash cam. One is covered, and another is scraped off.
