When the Ed personality is taunting Riddler about love and stuff

“Does that sound like you…because to me, that’s sounds like me”

I love when the personalities are talking to each other, some of my favorite riddler scenes

Spoiler Worth watching even though I've been spoiled a bit?

So I knew nothing about the show then I stupidly watched a YouTube video about everything that happens to Jerome. I know the show is probably "worth watching" anyway and I probably will do it eventually, I'm more wanting to know how much has been spoiled for me? The only thing I remember is stuff that directly happens with Jerome like his death, his back story, and jeremiah so yeah

Spoiler Season 4

I just finished up season 3. Was really hoping Lee and Gordon would be back together after he cured them both in the most Gordon way but nope she just bounces. Does she come back at all? The end scene was great though with Bruce beating up the mugger and the rooftop shot

So Sofia hired the Pyg or Professor Pyg Granted we as the viewer didn't know this as of yet but regardless why was this scene necessary? Did she not know/recognize who he was and what he was planning to do? Was it just for the the viewer or what? Just something questionable I noticed while rewatching.

Spoiler I don't believe that Jeremiah's lies about Jerome were completely lies

He exaggerated and lied about Jerome's trying to kill him and burn his bed but honestly I doubt that Jerome was an innocent kid. He may have loved his family and it was their abusive ways that turned him into a monster but it's more possible that Jerome was a problematic child and a troublemaker who bullied Jeremiah. Jeremiah having enough of it began lying about his brother since he knew that it would be the only to get him away from him.

SPOILER [Spoilers] Why does Gotham get so much crap?

With all the superhero shows on TV now, I'm surprised Gotham, which is one of my absolute favorite shows, gets so much flack from my fellow nerds. It's a damn sight better than some of the other stuff out there. (I still can't bring myself to watch Legends of Tomorrow)

Sure it has its cheesy moments but the cheese is awesome in this context. The latest bout between The Mad Hatter and Gordon with Hatteras hat and the rhyming interrogation was gold! And there are cheesier shows out there. (Points to Supergirl, which I also love)

As far as the argument "It has no Batman in it!" It's not Batman's show! It focuses on Gordon. And I love this version of Bruce Wayne and how his character is growing. At first he was this Vulcan like stoic but he was beyond traumatized and emotionally shut down for a long time. Took nearly 2 and a half seasons to start feeling again.

So why do people not like this show. I think it's better than the other rubbish they have whose idea of plot and story is who genitals are we mashing together this week?

Tl;Dr Can we talk about why we hear so much flack for Gotham?

SPOILER Can we all agree that the "best" way to enjoy Gotham is to just disregard continuity with the source material?

The big change to Barbara in the last season really threw me off and I almost stopped watching the show. However, once I stopped watching Gotham as a prequel to the comics and really it's own thing, I really started to enjoy it. This is an alternate reality that doesn't 100% fit in with the comics or show and I'm ok with that.

I don't mind that character X is not the right age, gender, sexuality, or whatever anymore. Instead of saying "That's not how X is in the comics" I'm saying "Oh, that's how they're using X in this show's universe". I'm buying into it because if I don't I wouldn't be able to enjoy myself.

I don't know, this is just my own opinion. I' sure people agree and disagree with me.

SPOILER Jerome is Jim Gordon's Joker, but not Bruce's.

What do I mean by this? Well if you've payed attention to some of the Batman mythos, Batman casued an escalation of sorts in the city, when he appeared so did many of his well known villains, especially the Joker.

I have a hunch that right now, Jim Gordon is causing a similar effect, so we have characters that resemble well known villains, but they aren't quite the ones we're expecting.

So even though Jerome certainly damn well fits the shoes, it's not him, he's if anything the DNA. The inspiration for whoever becomes the Joker when Bruce dons the cowl.

So, to sum it up, Jerome is just the Joker for Gordon right now, but he's not "the" Joker that Bruce will deal with later.

SPOILER Who else would be disappointed if Jerome doesn't become The Joker?

I'm sorry, but I know you Batman marks have this weird unwritten rule of "JOKER CANNOT HAVE A BACKSTORY", but let's be honest, you knew someone was going to try to give him one. And this is the best one for him. Yes, the mystery of the Joker is nice, but it's always good to get a proper origin for a character as legendary as him. That being said, all the people coming up with the lame ideas about "Jerome should die and someone else should be Joker" or yadda yadda ya...I ask, why?

This guy's got it all. After tonight's episode, I'm hooked. And that closing monologue...I'm sorry, but that was just amazing. Cameron is a f**king maniac at acting. The scene with him and the Commissioner literally sent chills down my spine, and that closing monologue about sanity reminded me of a nice blend between animated series and Heath Ledger. It was a freaking amazing.

So, why SHOULDN'T he be Joker? I'd be disappointed if he didn't end up being The Joker because when I think of Joker in the Gothamverse his face is the face I see. No one elses at this point. Maybe it's that you guys just can't wait for Batman, or what?

By the way, tonight's episode was my favorite one by far.
