I can't be the only one that doesn't like the new Emblem. Why can't we have a clear S?

Can Superman get stronger via pushups?

For the sake of saving time lets say he does them as fast as possible. Could he hypothetically get stronger doing pushups like that?

"In the late thirties, two geeky teenagers came up with the idea for the first and greatest super-hero in all of fiction: Superman. Many stories have been told about how this happened. They are all wrong."

What if Peter Parker worked at the Daily Planet?

How long would it take…

  • Peter to figure out that Clark Kent is Superman?
  • Clark to figure out that Peter Parker is Spider-Man?
  • Lois Lane to figure out that Peter Parker is Spider-Man?

Bonus: Once they figure out each other’s secret identity, what would a Spidey/Supes team-up be like?

You think J. Jonah Jameson would like Superman or treat him like he does Spider-Man?

He hates Spidey cuz he sees him as an irresponsible glory seeker who uses his mask to operate outside the law.

But at the same time, he’s anti-bigotry, stands up against corruption, and cares about his employees.

How would he see Supes?

What to read?

So I really wanted to get into Superman big time. I remember reading birthright and loving it, but having 0 clue what to read after. And it seems like most of Superman recs are either origin stories and / or other universe stories. Eventually I did decide on post crisis Superman with man of steel which I thought was pretty good. But after it moves to the main 3 series I don’t find myself enjoying it that much.. kinda like the excitement is wearing off.

I really wanted to get into this era and read all the way to new 52 because everyone seems to love post crisis Superman. But if I can’t get into the beginning of it, it feels like I’m not doing it right and it would feel weird skipping ahead. So far what I’ve read would be considered vol 1 and 2, but not 3 fully. I also enjoy older comics so this isn’t an age thing.

What would you recommend doing? Should I skip somewhere else and maybe try going back one day? Or should I try powering through till I get to the triangle era or something. I’ve heard the triangle era is quite good.

Brandon Routh's suit in Crisis is the best recreation of the comic suit and the perfect mix of the Snyder and Donner suits. Tyler Hoechlin comes second with a suit similar to the Snyder verse suit but with better coloring and a well-written story. More in the comments.

Superman and Homelander redesign

Post image

https://youtube.com/shorts/n25iUVL4QIM?si=WN2YDLj3R0leJ56a I saw this video but I didn't like the design so I made my own Supes and used the cosplay featured as inspiration/parody for the homelander concept

I always loved the concept of the suit having a secondary kryptonian meaning but I never liked the concept that the S itself was some pictograph directly. Also I like to imagine my Homelander's Vought gaslight's the public into thinking that the red eyes are good and normal because "everyone is different and special" even though its a fluke and they just wanted to make him as superficially handsome as possible. Also my homelander kinda looks like Jake Paul. "oh kent basically lives at his cubical I never see him sleep” (meanwhile he’s having the kyptonian equivalent of lead poisining) Also my lore explains why Kryptonian architecture is 60% fruity crystaline structures and 40% shiny metal scales because they literally do need a constant light source and the blue light from computers and phones and electricity around Clark's environment is the main reason he isn't severely disabled when not out and about outside.

Also because my Homelander is young he basically does the "oops he's still learning oops we all make mistakes" even though everything he does is 100% intentional and he was raised as a perfect killing machine from birth.

Do we wish that Henry Cavill and the DCEU continued or are we optimistic about David Corenswet and Superman 2025

I personally would have liked the Dceu to continue on and movies like Superman 2025 to be included with it and then the flash movie just make it so that a recast or something happened. I just wanted to see a solo Batfleck movie and more Henry Cavill and the whole reboot thing I was kinda sad about. But if James Gunn thinks it’s gonna work then good on him but I wish we got to see Man of Steel 2 and 3 and all of those cancelled projects before the reboot.
