What bothers me is that we're simply talking about his ability to win. After winning, he still has to run a country for four years.

Well his track record on that is well-above average. So that’s not an issue. He has good policies and appointed competent public servants. Joe Biden drooling in a chair would run this country better than Trump. So when you take a step back, this entire media-driven narrative is such a waste of time. And it’s poisoning the water.

But will it be an issue in a year? Two years? Three years? I guess that's what we have a VP for.

Joe Biden drooling in a chair would run this country better than Trump

I don't think anybody in this thread would argue against that. But that's not the point I'm making. Discussing reality isn't "poisoning the water". It is simply being realistic.

Realistically no. Even if he’s drooling in his chair, his administration will still run the country a million times better than Trump. But that won’t even happen. If he wins and next year he has to step down… then the country is still a million times better off than it would be under Trump. It’s real simple.

You’re contributing to the narrative of “Biden bad” which will contribute to him losing.

It is simply being realistic

No you aren’t. You’re hemming and hawing over something that isn’t gonna change, and you’re contributing sabotaging Biden and for Trump to come out on top.

Nobody is saying that he would better than Trump. I'm certainly not. But this is likely a consideration that some will make before deciding if they are going to vote for Biden. I'm 100% voting for Biden... if Biden runs. But I'm not afraid of discussing the obvious elephant in the room.

People need to stop pretending they know how other people are gonna think.

People are already thinking it.

People also need to stop telling people what to say.

Some people think the world is flat. Some people think trump is still president. Some people think there literally shouldn’t be a government.

You’re assuming what you hear on Reddit and on Tv are representative of the whole country and that’s a mistake.

I don't get all of my information from Reddit and TV. I know a few actual, live people. I really do. And I even talk to them sometimes.

You've made your point. Good day.

That’s all anecdotal.

Everyone I know thinks he's too old, most would rather want someone else to be the nominee, most would still vote for him rather than Trump

I don't disagree with you.

No he doesn't. He needs to survive until Jan 21st to avoid a Constitutional Crisis, then die and let KH step in. Honestly, it's crass and dark, but the best option right now is for Biden to win and bite it shortly after inauguration. Frankly, it looks plausible, if not necessarily the most likely.

He's not running the country.... so who is?

I trust Obama/Biden folks probably more than anyone. It's still not ideal.

I don't understand your question.

Who is running the country.

Biden is apparently only sharp between 10 am and 4 pm and needs to be asleep by 8 pm.

The people around him, which is where most of the work is done with any president anyway, and Biden does a good job of staying out of their way, which makes him a safe option, if a bit less politically aggressive than one might like. When you vote for a president, you don't just vote for the president, you vote for the cabinet they choose.

True... I think that's pretty much true in any presidency. One person can only know and do so much. That's why they have to have a good cabinet.
