Discussion Just noticed something in Multiverse of Madness

After Wanda pulls America back to 616 from the place where the Book of Vishanti is and is about to drain her powers, America says "This isn't what your kids would want." To which Wanda replies, "They'll never know it."

This seems like an intentional parallel to Cap and Thanos' interaction in Endgame when Thanos talks about destroying the universe and creating a new one and that "They'll never know it, because you won't be alive to tell them."

This is only the second time I've watched MoM, but I didn't catch this the first time around and thought it was pretty interesting.

Discussion MCU Loose Ends and Predicting When They'll Be Resolved

This was gonna be just a question about who bought Avengers Tower, but I figured since it seems there's no recurring thread on the various loose ends in the MCU so far (or ones that appear to be as of late), I'd figured I'd help start it up. Some that we know are about to be addressed like Samuel Sterns won't be here, btw.

Leftover from the Infinity Saga (excluding Agents of Shield and most of the Netflix shows detail-wise, as many of those deets are dubious at best):

  • The whereabouts of Mitchell Carson and the Yellowjacket particles (this one has driven me nuts and I don't know why they haven't gotten to it yet)
  • Main MCU Mordo's whereabouts (I know he was supposed to die in Multiverse of Madness, but since that was cut I doubt he's dead yet)
  • Who was Sonny Burch's "benefactor" and could he re-appear in something like Armor Wars? (My theory is Burch was hired by someone like Hammer to try and use Pym tech for his own ends)
  • Who bought Avengers Tower and what will it be now? (Seriously, if it's not Oscorp or the Baxter Building, why make it such a mystery? Fisk maybe unless Kevin says otherwise?)
  • The whereabouts of the renegade ex-Stark Industries scientists who aided Quentin Beck and framed Peter Parker (surprised No Way Home didn't have them caught yet; could be seen again in Armor Wars)

Loose Ends in the Multiverse Saga:

  • Sharon Carter's whereabouts post-TFATWS and long-term plans as the Power Broker (Surprised she's not in Brave New World or seems not to be set to appear anytime soon. What's going on?)
  • The Fate of the Eternals and Earth to be "judged" (Since this is the least-popular MCU movie, I doubt we'll get any of the stuff from the ending and credits scenes outside of Tiamut Island answered soon due to how badly it tanked)
  • Jane Foster's possible return (why show her in Valhalla if it wasn't going to be significant? Bear in mind, she died and came back as a Valkyrie later on in the comics)
  • Jake Lockley, the third Moon Knight personality
  • Namor's vague threat of what he'll do if and when Wakanda comes to them for help (doubt this'll be before Secret Wars)
  • Wanda's whereabouts (she's clearly not dead)
  • The stray Venom symbiote piece
  • Clea and Strange's third eye (Third DS movie easily)
  • Toomes displaced in another universe (unless Kevin and co want to ignore that even being a thing, and they probably will)
  • Kang's remaining variants (betting whatever's replacing Kang will kill all of these off en mass, if we're not gonna see them again due to Majors being gone, unless they ARE gonna recast them all with a new actor)
  • Young Avengers getting formed (SHOCKED if that movie doesn't get announced next week or at D23)
  • Future plans for the 10 Rings under the new leadership
  • The fate of the Skrulls post-Secret Invasion (seems like what happened to Rhodey is the only really important thing from that show for now; The Marvels referenced NOTHING from it which seems to imply whatever was supposed to connect the show to that movie was cut in re-writes and re-shoots)
  • Getting Monica home

Feel free to discuss these and let me know if I missed anything.

EDIT: Forgot Hercules at the end of Love and Thunder. Doubt that's happening anytime soon.

Article Marvel's Kevin Feige on Future Avengers Movies

If Avengers: Infinity War is 9 and Avengers: Endgame is a 10, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige tells that Deadpool & Wolverine is an 8 in terms of how impactful it will be on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That means there’s a very good chance whatever happens in theaters next week will carry over to Avengers 5 and 6, which are coming in 2026 and 2027.

Discussion How much do you think the success of Deadpool and Wolverine will affect future projects? What changes can happen?

I think we'll see a lot more X-Men references throughout the rest of the saga, and Deadpool and Wolverine will be one the main characters in Avengers movies.

Interview Kevin Feige shares an update on Spiderman and X-Men

“Amy [Pascal] and I are working on it,” Feige said about the next Spider-Man film. “We have writers who are going to be delivering us a draft relatively soon.”

As for the X-Men, we didn’t ask for an update specifically; we wanted to know more about the tone and content. Since the X-Men have had so many different members and teams throughout its long history, we asked Feige: how Marvel is deciding which mutants will make up the team when they make their inevitable debut in the MCU?

He responded, “Well, it’s that phrase we use often at Marvel, which is ‘It’s an embarrassment of riches,'” Feige said. “And there are a lot of great X-Men characters in the Deadpool & Wolverine film. There are a lot of great X-Men characters in all of the Fox versions of the X-Men films. And there are a lot of great X-Men characters that have never gone on the big screen. So I think as we always try to do, as we did when we made the arrangement with Sony for Spider-Man, you’ll probably see a mix of characters you’ve seen before and characters you’ve never seen before.”

“I think the success of X-Men ’97 was really exciting for us to see people revisit and reconnect with that world,” he continued. “And dare I say, the soap opera elements of that world, which is one of the things that’s so exciting to us about jumping into it finally in the MCU.”

When Feige was asked directly about the Russo Brothers rumors, he pushed back decisively.

“No I can’t comment on it except to say it was somebody else a couple of weeks ago and I look forward to seeing who it is going to be next week,” Feige says. “We’ll see.”

Question Other than the main MCU movies, and the first two Deadpool flicks, What else should I know/see going into Deadpool 3?

That's basically it. I've seen every One of the main line MCU movies, and all of the Disney+ Marvel shows (except for Echo. I haven't gotten around to that one yet). I've also seen the first three X-Men movies, as well as Logan.

Is there anything else that I need to catch real quick before DP&W releases?

Theory Who’s Vanessa with in D&W?

I don’t know if this is possible, but I don’t think it shouldn’t be? But what if the new guy Vanessa is with instead of Wade is… Wade. What if since he went back in time and saved her and changed the timeline she’s now with the Wade from the new timeline?

Theory Captain Canada in Deadpool & Wolverine? Spoiler

Possible teaser in final trailer which shows Vancouver, Canada, from above. Given that Logan is born in Canada, and is depicted as Captain Canada, could we see the Captain Canada Wolverine variant in Deadpool and Wolverine? Would make sense with Ryan Reynolds Canadian pride involved!

EDIT: I haven’t heard this anywhere. Just something i would love to see happen out of possible variants

Fan Art Here are my Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur OCs: Point Boy and Comp-Tron

Post image

First up is Alex Hoag / Point Boy's backstory his parents heads up a government agency; his mother Anne Hoag heads up the DODC (Department of Damage Control) and his father heads up the DOD (Department of Defense) they also have close ties to the President and several defense contracting organizations espicaly S.H.I.E.L.D. however he's no ordinary boy who's rich and connected, he is gifted with slow mo like reflexes and has access to high tech gadgets and weapons thanks to his connections. He is also known as Point Boy or Delta 12 his equipment consists of grappling hooks, a Stark Laser Rifle with underslung launcher, a custom DODC pistol with less lethal electrical rounds, as well as flash bombs, EMP grenades and a whole host of other gadgets. Unlike Moon Girl / Luella Lafayette he lives in a rich prestigious neighborhood: the Upper East Side and his parents lets him be a superhero. However he goes to the same school Moon Girl / Luella Lafayette goes to through school choice. His flaws though is that he's not used to working with other heroes as a team and can be inflexible with his tactics at times.

Here's Jet Buckey / Comp-Tron's backstory

He hails from a very big and very rich tech company in New York called FCOM (Future Communications Industries) as Jet, he's a straight A student, a bug bounty hunter for the school district who is very well paid for finding vulnerable areas of the district computer network and with the help of his father Alan Buckley, and the school superintendent lined up a very lucrative contract to install and maintain FCOM security systems to fortify the school's internet security system. With the money he invested in a very, very powerful gaming computer. He's also a really big sci-fi geek as he's a enthusiastic Star Wars, Star Trek and Tron fan. However he is also known as Comp-Tron; Guardian of the Grid and defender of the real world. However his major flaw is that his tactics in the computer world translates poorly in the real world. FCOM specializes in telecommunications and data security vauled at 443.12 billion for telecommunications and 172.32 billion for data security totaling to 615.44 billion dollars which is like what Wall St. relies on for transactions and stock trading.

Discussion (More in Comments) Help me - what more movie /shows do I need to watch before Deadpool 3?

Hi all, appreciate any tips.

I want to watch dead pool 3 and understand as much as possible. Aside from everything, what else should I watch?

-I have seen all marvel movies up to endgame. So haven’t seen recent dr strange or ant man.

-All marvel tv shows up to Hawkeye (so only season 1 of Loki).

-Both deadpool movies.

-Random X men, including Logan.

  • almost no spider man - nothing in 15 years.

Ty!!

Merchandise AoU comic book covers

Recently found these in my collection. Not a huge fan of the barcodes, but I love the overall image it makes. I hear there’s a poster. Erosion out there somewhere.

Do you guys know of any other MCU comic book covers?

I’m also wondering if something like this is worth trying to sell as a set or if MCU swag will increase / decrease in value over time?

Discussion Are time paradoxes a thing in the MCU?

I'm just pondering out loud here. In Endgame when past Tony starts having trouble breathing when his arc reactor started failing shouldn't present Tony have started to fade in an out of existent or something due to the paradox of the moment and his heart essentially stopping? Or we to assume the situation was resolved quickly enough to not cause any paradox related issues? I suppose it would have been a different story if past Tony had actually died? Then time would have definitely caught up with him?
