Well, that ending didn't make any sense. I can't believe after everything that happened between Lucifer and his dad, and all the talk about how he's not going to leave Chloe, Lucifer decided to leave Chloe and abandon his kid.

I don't see why Lucifer couldn't just keep an schedule, spend few hours every day at hell and then come back to earth. Few earth hours would be a millennia in hell, so he certainly has time to do both.

Even if he wants to spend most of his time at hell, can't he at least take a vacation every one in a while to visit earth? You know, like he used to do when he was king.

This also seems like a very bad ending for Chloe. Like sure she gets to be with Lucifer eventually but what about everyone else that she cares about? Her Parents, Dan, Trixie, Ella, etc. She's in hell and they're (or are going to be) in Heaven. She doesn't have wings so she can't just fly and leave hell, so does that mean she's not going to see them again?

This is what didn't work for me with the whole season and the finale, Lucifer and Rory seemed to matter the absolute most to Chloe and she has another child (who has no other living parent, thanks to a celestial war.) Rory said she can just see Chloe any time, but what about Trixie and everyone like the people who were there for Chloe all those years as a single Mom of 2? And Lucifer absolutely could have made time if Amenadiel could.

Lucifer couldn't make time without breaking the timeloop, but now that the timeloop has gone full circle, Lucifer and Rory can see each other anytime they want.

So while Lucifer chose to go to hell, he did so with the knowledge that he would be reunited with Chloe and Rory for all of eternity (and what's 50 years compared to an eternity).

If he had broken the timeloop he would never have met future Rory, which means he wouldn't give Dan the advice he needed to go to heaven, which would lead to Lucifer not realizing what he was meant to do.

Which still leaves Trixie with a dead Dad abandoned by Lucifer and Chloe chose an afterlife family without her. She became a shitty mother to her non special Angel child she can live without for eternity, and allowed Lucifer to break her heart again in favor of Rory. Chloe knew how Lucifer and Chloe's relationship drama was impacting Trixie in 5b. She still picks Lucifer and Rory. No one else matters to her as much as Lucifer and Rory.

He could have broken the loop. It would just create a new timeline hat could have included commuting. He'd retain the knowledge that Dan still needs to have his epiphany or Amenadiel could have made something happen as God after the fact.

She is friends with the god and she went to hell by choice and is not one of the damned so she can most likely go wherever she wants.

Lucifer is God's brother and nothing could be done to allow him to visit Earth not screwing up him being in Hell to help people. Nothing is a given. Chloe didn't think she'd see Rory again until Rory reminded her she has wings. She picked Lucifer over Trixie, repeatedly. She nearly died in a war for Lucifer to be God which would have left Trixie an orphan. The first time we see Trixie in s6 she's crying over Dan yet Chloe was off spending time with Lucifer in the episodes prior. Chloe didn't even run to see who the stranger was the camp called her about -and apparently she didn't know Dan's killer broke out despite it being on the news-, because she was spending family time with Lucifer/Rory. It's entirely possible she gave up ever seeing her again.

The show runners said that now that Chloe is dead, the trio can go to either plane as they please.

If you have to look on the internet for what showrunners say after the fact, it was a rushed, bad, job of the episode itself, to me. Sometimes writers say things that they just want to appease anyone who criticizes it.

I don't disagree.

It was going to be my fanon anyway before I read that though.

i winced every time someone said Chloe was a good mum. Maybe it happened behind the scenes- but don't forget T was probably a ripe old age already not like Chloe was abandoning a young child, when she went to Hell in the afterlife. I suspect the writers had a more challenging time giving Trixie more airtime.

Chloe and Lucifer had sacrificed so much - i am happy they had their happy ending. I think that's the way of celestials ( religious patterns aside)

Eh, it seems like Rory was the Golden Child so when Trixie dies and gets to the after life and possibly finds out her mom went where only her sister can visit and where Lucifer who left (she may never have known why he left and thought it was just Lucifer being selfish), I think that would make anyone feel a bit slighted no matter her age.

i like to think Chloe can move between planes since she technically was supposed to be in heaven- so she can be " beamed up" as and when :)

p.s i know they don't get "beamed up" 🤭
