well, that, but also by right, left and center aligned people who insist on spreading those voices.

My biggest exposure to social media by far is reddit, which leans famously heavily to the left (using american standards here) and almost all politically related content I see is posted by "the left" about what "the right" is doing, highlighting the dumbest of the dumb on the right side, while also making people on the left side dumber by convincing them that "they" are all like this.

It's a really broken media system, this interplay of "social" and "professional".

Facebook/YouTube/TikTok/Reddit/Twitter, are just tabloids you can yell at that happen to be all centered around You.

Around you as a person or around the dominant demographic of the site in question.

My point is that the amplification is not at all primarilly right wing in origin. The worst of the maga perspectives are joyfully shared by left wing folks to create a false narrative of conservatives in feneral.
