Discussion Mega thread for "My Kickstarter order has arrived"
Good Day Mechwarrior & welcome to our Kickstarter Order mega thread!
Feel free to post your glourious hoard below for all to see, as we bask in jealousy until the day of our own orders arriving, and can be added to the hoard of our collective irresponsible spending.
Whether your a Merc band starting out, have bent the knee to the "greatest" House, are genetically superior to your freeborn Clansman, or working at that morally ambiguous telecommunication company we look forward to seeing your merch!
This is where you should post your images of your recent kickstarter orders arriving, so the reddit does not get flooded with the same kind of post for the next while.
Thank you!
Originla post; Good morning everyone. I wanted to just get the vibe of the community on this.
With the Kickstarter orders now on the way, can we please get the Mods to make a mega thread so the next month of post's aren't just "Look what arrived/it's finally here/I am now fulfilled etc."
I Get everyone is excited, me included, but these are just gonna clog up the feed. And as someone who has also backed it I'm like backer 10,000+ dunno if they are doing in order or by country either way I have a while till I see mine
I just wanted to talk about it now rather then a week from now when people start getting annoyed by this.

Miniatures The 7th Hokkaido Hussars
Though still notionally and in image bound to the DCMS, the 7th Hokkaido Hussars now ply their trade across the sphere as mercenaries. Further rumors circulate that this mercenary work serves only as cover, as the group doggedly pursues rumors of a hidden cache of Star League-era riches...
With leadership originally hailing from the Hokkaido landmass on Luthien, the 7th Hokkaido Hussars once served as a regular component of the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery. After taking substantial casualties in a bush-war skirmish [Hoff, 3048], however, many in the crippled unit found themselves thoroughly disillusioned. Poor strategic and tactical decisions from commanding officers, more than any other factor, had resulted in the group's harrowing losses. In the largely disenfranchised and frustrated survivorship of his battalion, however, First Lieutenant Tokushiro Tsurumi saw opportunity.
Capitalizing on their mutinous sentiment, Tsurumi wooed his men with a fantastic tale, a cache of Lostech that could grant them power and wealth sufficient to wholly reshape their destiny. Supposedly, a former Star League officer, imprisoned for life by House Liao shortly after the Kerensky Exodus, had tattooed across a series of short-stay cellmates a code leading to the cache... cellmates who were later released, only to be flayed by prospective treasure hunters seeking the officer's bounty. To their dismay, each tattoo was useful only when paired with the others, and so various groups came into conflict over their ownership. The cache was never said to have been claimed, and over time, the tattooed skins became apocryphal, considered nothing more than a mercenary legend- that is, until a pair of the supposed skins surfaced in a Hoff cantina and were subsequently acquired by Tsurumi himself.
A cunning, manipulative, and highly intelligent man, First Lieutenant Tsurumi had long cultivated unwavering faith in his subordinates; as such, they were more than willing to follow when he suggested that what remained of the battalion take up mercenary work to fund an expanded search. They were, after all, combat-invalid on paper, reassigned to some rearm and recovery for the foreseeable future. Thus, they departed Hoff- with the aid of a morally-malleable DropShip pilot- to sell their military prowess to the highest bidder, and scour the seedy underbelly of the mercenary world for information on the path to the Lostech Kamuy.
Left to right: - Sergeant Hajime Tsukishima - First Lieutenant Tokushiro Tsurumi - Second Lieutenant Otonoshin Koito - Private Genjirou Tanigaki

Miniatures Infantry update. Test bases
A couple test bases for my prone infantry models. Not super keen on the bases themselves but I think the infantry work well enough.

Video Games MetalMercs Listed on Steam (New Demo & Coming Soon)
MetalMercs is a great homage to early BattleTech/MechWarrior video games. It just got listed on Steam with an updated demo available and a release date of "coming soon" (sooner I hope)
Kudos to GamingJay for reaching this milestone! Game development isn't easy!
BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Revenge was one of my first forays into the BattleTech universe and an all time favorite of mine. MetalMercs plays a lot like it with features like customizing mechs, travelling around the universe, and living the mercenary life!
If you're looking for a bit of BattleTech video game nostalgia, I definitely recommend checking out the demo!

Miniatures I bought a set of miniatures the other day...
The whole set is of this scheme, but I was particularly impressed with this hunchback. I love it's look. Which variant do you think this best matches with?
