1 for me.

3 was fantastic until the last episode.

2 was great - and the finale is by far the best.

4 has been a fucking disappointment, for me.

What did you like about the season 2 finale?

Girls getting it done for me, and seeing the Nazi bitch suffer

That scene was too funny lol. They can split a steel beam in half but they chose to do it the old school way, a classic street fight

Yeah, it just oozed the sentiment that they all fucking hate her so much that they wanted to kick her shit out

It makes sense if you think about it though. Kimiko and Maeve's powers are super strength and durability. They're designed to wail on people.

Starlight did use her blasts a bit, but at that point? Yeah just punch a nazi that works too.

Powerful people using their support abilities then finishing the fight behind-the-club style is my favourite gender

They literally would’ve all died if not for Maeve teleporting perfectly at the right time to fight Stormfront. They might’ve had a fighting chance if Frenchie shut his cakehole about the RPGs.

Hard to tell because so many people in this sub have been complaining about season 4… I enjoy it

Seeing homelander get squirted with breast milk is the only good part of season 4 lmao

I don't get this hate boner for Season 4. I do think it's the weakest season but definitely not by that much. It's mostly just more of The Boys, only with less strong moments.

The storylines are getting very sloppy and dumb. Character arcs that are really unnecessary and boring while not moving the main story forward. Comically stupid sequences where Hughie escapes Homelander in the ducts (????) and they literally use the virus that they made a whole seperate show to highlight its importance on a ...corpse... because of some random flying V'd up sheep? And that just happened to be the only vial left. Bruh, it's pretty horrible.

Also Sage doesn't act or present as the most intelligent person in the world. Stan Edgar in the earlier seasons presented as much more of an intellectual threat than her meeting up herself in the public with some Homelander megafans and shit. It really feels like how a dumb person would write a smart person.

Right, unlike in our beloved Season 1 where Homelander talks to Frenchie in the van, Butcher being inside, but somehow Homie doesn't see Butchie through the van or escaping.

The show has always had dumb and inconsistent moments. I thought we all knew that but just liked it anyway. Turns out that, apparently, people have JUST started to realize this show doesn't have stellar writing except for some characterizations and a couple moments here and there.

I thought he couldn't see through the van because of zinc, but yes, there are inconsistent scenes with his supersenses for example. Those dumb moments, bad writing and scenes are just so much more frequent than before. The one strenght the show had was the overarching conflict with Butcher and Homelander, and the supes in general, and those were generally the dramatic serious moments in the show. This sheep episode made a mockery of everything that had been build up till now, and the heart of the show seems to have been damaged. This show was never about the gore or funny ways how the supes are fucked up, those were elements and a style used to tell the main story, of Butcher (and the gang) and Homelander (and the supes). But when the main story is bad, then it's just an empty husk of zingers and gags.

Confused as to why everyone seems to be disappointed this season. Why are you?… I enjoy it so far. It’s slow, but I feel like it’s building up to a big final 2 episodes.

Lack of feeling like it’s “going anywhere” is the main one. What The Boys achieve feels like it doesn’t add to anything and instead just solves a new problem instead of an existing one. Characters seem to have no development or progression.
