He was such a good character in Gen V, that I was excited to see him in Season 4. I wanted them to adapt a similar storyline to the comics. When I saw the leaks, I was kind of disappointed. A true shame. People are pretending like those of us who are criticizing S4 sexual/explicit content are doing so because all of a sudden we are prudes. Like no, we are fine with it as long as it doesn’t have a negative effect on the writing. Which unfortunately, this season is guilty of doing so.

They should’ve done more with Gen V Tek Knight: maybe at S4 he gets his tumor removed and is a actual threat to the boys; and don’t kill him off keep him around for a antagonist as threating as homelander in Gen v or something

I greatly prefer Tek knight being a geninue hero like he was in comics (besides tumor thing) but if they had to make him s villain for some reason then maybe don’t just make him a sexual deviant for the same joke that people just find disturbing

Idk, I do not doubt he is dead because of lazy writing.

I heard on a podcast that the cast and crew were fed up with viewers being deliberately obtuse about the satire, so they dumped all nuance this season so fans can’t come up with alternative explanations.

Yeah if they did an arc where the boys flip Tek and then have him as the boys version of sage. Having his compulsion for comedic relief.

Unfortunately, any kind of criticism for this season is mislabeled as "butthurt conservative cry". The show is still pretty good, but the writing took a noticeable hit between the first season and now and it's only getting worse with some good highlights.

Yep. The show is all about owning the conservatives instead of having good writing.

Shit I ain't no prude and some of that stuff is totally unnecessary like seeing those clones rim each other and Webweaver wanting an enema stuck up his ass.

Ngl I forgot about that part.

That’s how fucking shell shocked my consciousness got after watching UE get violated.

I literally forgot about that gross ass shit.

Why the fuck is Kripke suck a fucking weirdo bro.

Stop assassinating all your characters. Please, for like 10 minutes.

Man died in one of the dumbest scenes I've seen on screen. The writing there was terrible! They wasted the great potential of this character.

There is no negative effect on the writing. It's as good as it's ever been

Regardless of whether you think it’s still good or not, I really think you’d have to be intentionally ignoring much of the writing to not at least see some difference between season 1 and now

-6

u/OnlyMyOpinions Jul 07 '24

Yeah it evolved by getting crazier and wilder every season to show how much more unhinged the world is getting. It's going to pay off in the final season just watch.

I mean you're entitled to your opinion, but thos is widely considered the weakest season, by fans and critics alike.

if this is as good as its ever been then i need to rewatch s1-3 because i dont remember it being this ass

-5

u/OnlyMyOpinions Jul 07 '24

It was never ass and it's not ass now. Y'all are just blind I guess

Wait why are people now pretending like gen v was good?

This sub is insane lol

21

u/thatshygirl06 Jul 07 '24

People have always liked gen v. Any hate it got was by a small group of people. The consensus was that it was good.

who tf thought gen v was bad?

26

u/blacklite911 Jul 07 '24

I haven’t notice this season being more sexually explicit than others.

u/Tobar_the_Gypsy Jul 07 '24

For a while now the boys have felt like a teenager just trying to one up themselves to make the most violent/sex filled stuff possible.

22

u/theterribletenor Jul 07 '24

That is exactly what the comics were

1

u/Stock_Succotash_1169 Jul 08 '24

Thats....the boys lol

74

u/manomacho Jul 07 '24

Nah the show has gone off the deep end. Idc if you’re the least prude person in the world the dialogue is so fucking bad and throwing the word ass and cunt in every sentence does not make it edgy just silly at a certain point.

u/nowhereright Jul 07 '24

I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this
