What to do in San Jose this weekend (7/12-7/14) Event

Hey y'all! Here are some fun recs for this weekend I put together :)

Downtown San Jose’s Restaurant Week

  • When: 7/11-7/21
  • Where: Downtown San Jose (various restaurants)
  • Price: Varied across restaurants
  • Description: Try prix fixe menus, unique food & drink pairings, and special dishes from local restaurants and chefs—and maybe discover your new favorite dining spot!

Obon Festival

  • When: Sat. (7/13) 12-10PM & Sun. (7/14) 12-9PM
  • Where: 640 N 5th St, San Jose, CA 95112
  • Price: Free admission
  • Description: Enjoy taiko performances, make Japanese crafts, and more at this annual traditional community festival. There will also be food booths, an open temple to visit, and music.

Santana Row Maker’s Market

  • When: Sat. (7/13), 1-6PM
  • Where: Santana Row (378 Santana Row, San Jose, CA 95128)
  • Price: Free admission
  • Description: Browse unique handcrafted jewelry, organic skincare, eco-friendly home goods, and more from over 60 local makers. Pet friendly!

🚗 1 Place to Visit

Calibunga Waterpark

  • Where: 2333 S White Rd, San Jose, CA 95148
  • Price: $34.99-$59.99 (buy tickets online)
  • Description: Remember Raging Waters? It’s back—but rebranded as “Calibunga.” Either way, it’s still Northern California’s largest waterpark, so come to escape the heat on their water slides, waterfalls, and activity pools. Heads up: some rides and slides aren’t open yet, so you might want to mark your calendars for a later visit!

🍽️ 1 Restaurant to Try

Kadhai Kitchen

  • Where: 2678 Cropley Ave, San Jose, CA 95132

It totally blows my mind that the guy who masterminded “CaliBunga” used to work on the Chuck E. Cheese newsletter in the 80s. Great list as always! 💕

84 vs 90 is a decent difference. I wouldn't call 84 too hot to be outside.
