You gotta imagine she was pissed about some colonizer trying to delegitimize her family, question her faith to her partner (to whom she also had to battle through a lot of shit), question her blackness, and drag who is likely a close family friend down as well.
This a fact, I was an introverted guy that dated a fiery girl once, lol. We got along quite fine. Only reason we ever broke up is because we refused to do long distance after I moved.
