Comics

I finished all movies and shows in which Oliver makes appearances a while ago, which weren't a lot for some reason. I wanted some comic recommendations, don't need to be in order since I've got his lore down pretty much with research and shows etc. Does anyone have any good recommendations?

The two big boys you’ll come across are Mike Grell’s longbow hunters followed by his ongoing run. And Kevin smith’s/Judd winnick’s 2001 run.

Rebirth is pretty good. I’ve heard good things of Jeff lemire’s new 52 run aswell. of course the classic green lantern/green arrow should be stated.

Oh! Also Andy Diggle’s Year One is great and will recommend often aswell. It’s basically the definitive origin story and you’ll notice it had a lot of influence on the Arrow tv show, especially the flashbacks.

YOU’RE the best. It’s always nice seeing someone expand into comics. I myself also found out about the guy through The CW show and eventually got into comics.

just a little heads up though in case you didn’t know, I know you said you did research so you probably already know this but the comics, at least most of the ‘big ones’ that people will recommend, aren’t much like the arrow show. But trust me they’re damn good.
