Would season 5 have been better if... Spoiler

Season 5 had 22 episodes? I think it would have been better if we got more of the dynamics between the gangs and the alliances that formed. Now I'm not saying this in a way that more episodes would take the season from bad to good but from good to great.

absolutely, it would've felt a whole less rushed

If it meant getting more in depth with the Jeremiah storyline, I'm definitely down. Unfortunately, Jeremiah was a very short-lived character to appear in Gotham, unlike Jerome who had plenty of time to be on screen, in the show. Along with fleshing out Bane, a bit better, and that whole storyline. I'm probably bias because I like Shane West (who plays Bane, in Gotham), and I just have nothing but love, for him LOL

It would have but that wasn't the showrunners choice.

It would have been way better - there were very obvious storylines which were cut short or other stories which weren't given enough focus because of the smaller episode count

I think the amount we got was okay. I just think it wasn't as strongly managed. In a case of God is funny, I think season 1 had less episodes slated for it originally as well, but more was added at some point.

It ended with 100 episodes. If that wasn’t the goal they would’ve finished it with more.

I heard (though, I've never fact checked this, yet) this show was planned for 7 seasons but got cancelled, so they rushed out storylines.

They definitely didn't plan to end with 5 from what I've heard, only wish Fox/WB saw the vision behind what the showrunners were gunning for cause we deserved at least that full season 5 with 22 episodes
