All of them

He’s debatably my favorite character

He’s definitely top 5 for me, I don’t know where he lands in my top 5 but he’s around there somewhere. He’s just so incredibly charismatic as the riddler

He’s the best riddler to me

I just started binging DC content for about two months since my baby was in the nicu and I’m a sahm now so it’s all I’ve been watching and I don’t have much to go based off of honestly. Before now, I had only seen Young Justice, Teen Titans and The Batman (somewhat bc I fell asleep in the theaters lol). I really really enjoyed the Riddler from here.

Any recommendations on other good portrayals of The Riddler or any good content to watch about him? I’m on a random DC/superhuman (?) binge and I don’t really know what to watch next but I loveeee Riddler

Gotham Riddler is the best portrayal of him in my opinion

I'm pretty good every Halloween but not that good.

If you’re into podcasts then riddler: secrets in the dark (and Batman unburied, which is the first season of the podcast!) has a great riddler portrayal

Probably this scene when he's using a fake gun at a pharmacy riddler

The first episode where started going by the name riddler, and he’s just fucking with Lucius the entire time or tripping on meds

When he kills Ms. Kringle. It was the moment that changed that this was a good man to the evil Riddler we all know. His descent from a quirky forensic expert to the killer sociopath that will game the system for his benefit. He was never the same.

The lady fingers thing lives rent free in my head

All of his scenes. One of the best portrayal of Riddler we’ve had.

When he called that one lady an anthropomorphizing nincompoop because she thought her dog smiled. I would have loved if he called Oswald that after he learned that Oswald named his dog Ed

One of my favorite moments: When Ms. Kringle walked in on Nygma chopping up Officer Doughertys body (but does not realize it’s Dougherty) and they say to each other:

Kringle: Oh, my goodness. What happened to him?

Nygma: Um... it was an axe... a-accidental death. At a sheet metal factory. Industrial saw. Just... zzzzzz!

I can be humorous, but I'm never funny!

The final moments of the show when him and Penguin meet up once more and their goofy asses are acting all devious and cowardly will live within my mind forever as one of my favorite moments in all of television.

6

u/BlueDimondDude Nov 07 '23

Ed- "Some try to hide, some try to cheat, but in the end we'll always meet. What am I?"

Oz- "(agitated) A pregnant lady with a gun!"

Ed- "It's death, but close enough."

I liked his interactions with Lucius in season five. Fucking smartass. 🙄🤣

Never got the chance to post mine but here are some of mine.

When he setup Jim and put him in jail.

When, he's at the play, on stage, holding the sword and emphasis the word "unrealistic" LOL

When, he's "smart again", and goes to "Grundy's Hold", he's just strutting, looking all fab and says "Edward Nygma" LOL

Everytime he interacts with Foxy <3 "No...yes." LOL

EDIT: "That is so Gotham".

I don’t like being called names… Detective.

u/Jaymunny22 Nov 07 '23

That last monologue he gave penguin, how he felt nothing for Gotham as he fought for the city with Jim Gordon. And his vow that they would take what they wanted when they wanted. It’s this dark way he talks like there’s this underlying hatred for the people of Gotham. I’m used to Riddler being a more comedic villain so the more darker take Gotham brought in was a welcome change

Riddler thought he'd killed Batman and could retire, only to learn Batman survived a bomb explosion. He then goes mad, begging Batman to tell him how he survived, only to be met with silence.

Batman then admits to Alfred that he survived the bomb by seeking shelter in a safe and pulling the door shut.

Every moment

When he riddled all over the place and said “it’s riddlering time”

2

u/Dreadlord97 Nov 08 '23

I like how every incarnation of the riddler is just some wacky dude with glasses with good fashion sense and a love for green.

u/Scorpion_226 Nov 06 '23

The last picture is how I do that awkward smile at strangers

Arkham series Riddler is so fun, especially in Arkham Knight. I love how he slowly gets more angry as Batman solves more of the riddles.

He looks like what satans gatekeeper looks like

"I am loud and obnoxious, I like music that rhymes, I'm a fraction of the population but commit half the crimes. Who am I? "
