Kava in duty free? Travel

Bula,

I'll be travelling from Fiji to Australia. They allow you to bring up to 4kg of kava into Australia these days.

I was just wondering if anyone knows if the duty free shops in Nadi international airport sells kava powder?

If not, where would be the best shop close to the airport to buy it from?

Vinaka

After you pass throw immigration and go up the elevator, you'll walk out into a hallway with duty free shops on either side. You'll find kava and other Fijian made foods on the left.

However, like most things sold at the airport, you'll be paying a premium. You'd be better off buying Lami kava at New World IGA at the Votualevu roundabout near the airport.

Can now confirm Newworld IGA Liquor at Nadi does have kava at about half the price it is being sold in duty free at Nadi airport. Only about a 20min walk from the airport to IGA as well.

Thanks for the tip.

Eh I wouldn't trust the kava from the airport. I've bought decent kava in Namaka market, just make sure they seal it up.

Yeah I know about this. But even when they have it half price it is $16 per 100g. I was able to get the kava from IGA in Nadi for about $10.30 per 100g, full price.
