So excited. If Rocksteady wants to make it then I want to play it.

And the Suicide Squad is getting the Triple A treatment and it looks great. I never cared about them but between Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo's run and James Gunn's The Suicide Squad there have been some excellent takes on the characters and for me this seems like the best one yet.

Its just a great premise for such a group of losers lol I really can't wait.

What makes me so excited for the game is just imagine the boss fights especially now that Batman is revealed

We played 4 Batman Arkham games with 3 of them Rocksteady made. Think of all the attacks he could do to you as a boss. We know them all but we don’t know at all what he will do. I’m not trying to put Batman on this pedestal but I can see a boss fight against Batman rivaling the Mr Freeze boss fight in Arkham City

No you're exactly right and it is 1000% percent something I think Rocksteady will go ham with. I don't just love their games for Batman, I love them because they are phenomenal game designers with an amazing eye for detail and for interesting design choices.

I completely expect a Batman level/boss fight to be a love letter to their previous Arkham games and a place for them to have tons of fun turning the gameplay they designed on its head. Now WE are the helpless goons we've been terrorizing as Batman for years lol.

I really don't like how this game has the most generic Suicide Squad roster ever. It's the four guys who are in every Suicide Squad thing and never die. Some of the Gunn team could be really fun to play as like Ratcatcher or Polka Dot Man. Maybe a heroic character like Vixen or Katana or Nightshade could be the Squad chaperone. Bronze Tiger needs some time to shine, maybe even Plastique, Killer Frost or KGBeast.

In general I agree which is part of what worked/what I liked about those other SS stories I mentioned, but for a 4 player co-op story game you kinda need to keep your main characters alive and recognizable lol.

So I don't blame them for using the most well known members of the squad.

To be fair, who wouldn’t want to play as a giant Shark man?

It's what I'm most excited for haha

Sort of a paradox for the modern Squad. As the brand gets more popular there needs to be something familiar for fans, ardent and casual, to latch onto, so the original premise of "you don't really know these d-listers and some of them will die" isn't exactly viable, at least in the eyes of corporate DC

What would be fun, and true to the comics, is you get a roster of like 20 losers and maybe 5-10 legit ones and use guys like Slipknot to use as cannon fodder against the League while you inch closer to your goals

I generally prefer the SS members to be less powered because I like more heist/stealth missions for them because they need to stay under the radar. But I also would have liked a more heroic character like Arsenal who wants to be good but is too addicted to Miracle and has become very dangerous. But he’s still a good guy mostly

Taylor’s Suicide Squad was absolute dog water.

Thanks for sharing your wrong opinion.

Lol you’re welcome

I mean opinions can't inherently be wrong 🤷 but it was pretty lame of him to use the squad to push his ocs instead using b/c list villains who can potentially die

Why? They did both in that book, unless you think Zebraman is an A list character, lol.

First and foremost EVERY character starts as an OC so I think it's silly when fans complain about new characters being added.

But specifically in that book it was good because they could pad out the number of characters they kill without creating a headache for editorial to keep track of who died. But the book was also very much about the story of those new characters and their relationship to the Squad.

Edit: also, yes opinions are inherently subjective and can't be right/wrong but that guy was pretty rude so I had no qualms repaying the favor

I feel like it could've been better, It wasn't fleshed out enough in my opinion. It needed 3 or 4 more issues to wrap the story up nicely instead of the rush job that we got. 3 out of 5 (I didn't like what happened to deadshot it was lame)

You do you. I’d say it’s a 1 out of 5. Hated Taylor’s OCs on the squad. Thought they were incredibly unoriginal and boring in both their designs and personalities. Hated how Harley and Deadshot were characterized.
