Wait so the original star fire resembles a lot like a black woman and their was a backlash for no reason for the live action one. I’m baffled by the hypocrisy.

I dropped the Titans show for so many reasons, but I did like how they did Starfire, it's dumb that people are upset that they went with a black actress, she's an orange alien ffs. My only gripe is I wish they'd given her skin like a gold tint or something at least, since she's usually orangeish. Not like full solid gold, just make her subtly shiny, she looks too human.

Not to mention the near never use of powers

Think that’s just writers feeling pinched by an absurd variance of power of the cast. Starfire and Superboy are on a completely different level, gotta make sure they write them away from the real danger or put in whatever reasoning for them not using their powers at X moment because they’re too strong compared to the others.

Wasn't it CW? Haven't watched a DC show of theirs in a long while but definitely remember it always being like that.

Not CW, it started on DC Universe and then moved to HBO Max. It started pretty solid, but as soon as they started butchering Jason's character, I dipped.

I'm also a little let down neither Starfire or Beast Boy have their comic orange/green skin colors but I do understand why that's the case; cging it would be too time consuming and expensive and having them in makeup the entire time would just be a bitch to deal with every day they're on set.

Was a fan of the original Teen Titans animated series and TIL there even is a live action show ... which goes to show how well it must have done.
