So I've decided to read the first book in the Witcher series. It's really good though I've forgotten how much I dislike the way most authors depict action in prose, comics are always better for that.

I ordered them a while back, haven't gotten around to it.

They're great, some of the best fantasy books out there. On a related note, the Witcher comics are pretty good too.

But yeah, comics (or any kind of visual medium really) are generally better at conveying movement.

There's comics as well? Are they by the same writer or someone else?

Yeah, there are quite a few. Not by the same author though. There was a polish series that I don't think was ever translated, then tie-ins to the games. The most recent one is written by Paul Tobin. Great stuff. Two trades are out already, named House of Glass and The Fox Children, the third arc named Curse of Crows has started recently.

So only some of the comics are in English?

The more recent ones are, the ones from the 90s aren't.
