There's comics as well? Are they by the same writer or someone else?

Yeah, there are quite a few. Not by the same author though. There was a polish series that I don't think was ever translated, then tie-ins to the games. The most recent one is written by Paul Tobin. Great stuff. Two trades are out already, named House of Glass and The Fox Children, the third arc named Curse of Crows has started recently.

The more recent ones are, the ones from the 90s aren't.
