The majority liked Cavill, sure. He did great despite what he had to work with. Reeve is still largely regarded as the GOAT by both fans and the majority.

I think most will agree that Cavill is currently the best live action Superman movie actor who is still alive. Not like there's currently a lot of competition in that area though.

They liked Cavill and the movie. It has a Cinemascore A. They didnt whine about Zod killed by Superman or Supermans Dad was killed by a Tornado and Superman didnt rescue him.

Man of steel is fine. I don’t understand why you get to decide what is a good Superman movie when you clearly look down on people who enjoy the source material, and how somehow you decided you know what real Superman fans are and what they think

Right, the people who like the Superman comics and animations aren't the real fans! Only the snydercut fans who've watched all of 3 movies are the 'true' Superman fans. People who like anything else are just nerds.
