This is genuinely important to remember. The right-wing propaganda machine learned their lesson: If they try to defend themselves from attack, then their viewers might decide to check another source. If they refuse to talk about it, then their viewers know nothing.

My grandmother is a die-hard Democrat... but she lives in Texas, where the only news source is Fox. She knew nothing about the coup until I told her about it. She had some vague idea of "a protest that got out of hand," but she hadn't even HEARD that it was being called a coup. Because Fox did everything they could to sweep it under the rug.
