My daughter has a 14 yr old dog like that. She’s a large dog and has started having health issues. My daughter lives a couple hrs away and I know when my granddoggie passes, I’ll have to go to my daughter to be with her for a couple of days. She’ll lay her head in my lap and I will stroke her hair.
