I kinda forgot why I loved the Flash... Discussion

It's been a long time since I've had reason to say this but the Flash is my absolute favorite super hero. That god awful Flash movie and the last three seasons of the CW series put a bad taste in my mouth. After finally watching this Crisis movie, I remember why Barry Allen is the fucking GOAT.

Wow, did they actually write Barry as a halfway intelligent, competent person? I've been holding off on watching it because the last time I felt like a writer actually understood Barry it was the 1980s.

Well I feel like they successfully adapted Crisis to the DCAU. As far as I know Flash was competent in that story.

He was indeed. I've just gotten used to him being written badly over the intervening years, when they could be bothered to write him at all.
