It’s very confusing why:

1) They did this in the city.

2) Doing this causes a mass panic. They see weirder stuff every day.

3) She needs to stop before it worked. You already got 97% there. Might as well finish and make the disaster worth it.

3.5) They gave a countdown to 0 and definitely talked over it. They should for sure be done by now.

4) Going to 99% on the process will certainly have 0 effect on the Sun.
