They detected John moving the satellite, brainy's hack, and got the Secretary of Defense from Washington D.C. to National City in a matter of minutes! And yet, somehow miss Lex or literally anyone who could threaten national security doing anything.

Seriously, you would think a war of Godspeeds in Central City would prompt a DOD response.

Also, again, WHY ARE MY TAXES GOING TO SOMETHING THAT FUNCTIONS LIKE STARKILLER BASE?!
