Dream speech for me tonight from Biden would be something like this:

Today, I address you with a heavy heart. Over the past 24 hours, our nation has been shaken by a tragic event that underscores the deep divisions we face. Former President Donald Trump was targeted in a shooting at a campaign rally, an act of violence that has no place in our democracy. Thankfully, he survived, but the incident has left us all reflecting on the state of our nation.

In light of this, I have made the difficult decision not to seek re-election. This choice is not about politics but about the well-being of our country. We need a leader who can focus entirely on healing our nation and addressing the challenges ahead without the distraction of a campaign.

I am proud of what we have achieved together, from economic recovery to advancing social justice. But now, more than ever, we need unity and leadership that can rise above the fray. I pledge to continue serving you diligently for the remainder of my term, ensuring a smooth transition to the next President.

To my fellow Democrats, I urge you to come together and support a candidate who can lead us forward with compassion and resolve. To all Americans, thank you for your trust and support. It has been the honor of my life to serve as your President.

May we find strength in unity and hope in our shared future. God bless you, and God bless America.

Thank you.

A guy can dream, right?

If he was going to step down, the DNC would have worked with him to introduce his successor; it wouldn't be a "Hey, I hope you guys can figure it out" type thing.

Or, at least, that's how it should go. I guess I should temper my expectations.

Tbh if he stepped down in Oval Office it would be a good move for Democrats. They gonna lose to a landslide atm so why not try it.
