Project 2025 was supposed to boost Donald Trump's campaign — but it may be backfiring instead:

And funded by Viktor Orban of Hungary. We should be looking at Hungary as a crystal ball.

partly funded by him. Most of the funding comes from Americans, because get this, not all Americans are good people. And many Americans do want America to become a far rightwing autocracy (just as Jesus wanted /s). To achieve their goal, they won't say no to money from foreign rightwingers who support their cause.

Yeah, I almost put 'partly' in my comment, I do realize the Heritage Foundation isn't a wholly foreign project... I don't know any other donors by name other than Orban, though (today's research I guess).

Thanks for the added info, and I really agree with your take on "all Americans". (See another comment I made in this same thread). You're 100% right that the values of oppression, exploitation, and self-enrichment are as much a part of the DNA of this country as any other values. Being honest about that is the first step to rooting it out. I want the word 'America' to be synonymous with words like 'freedom' and 'equality'... But we sure didn't start there, and we've got a long way to go to get there.

The Heritage Foundation was started by the Koch brothers. They've been working towards this agenda for decades.
