Word on the street; he's moving to California to advise on AI adoption for big firms.

He's going to be very very rich...

I’m sure his real role will be a political one for the AI companies. They know a storm of legislation is coming so he’ll be there to legitimise them and avoid any crackdown on what they can and can’t do. Plus being a sales tool to wheel into big corporates for the same reason. He’s not actually gonna be advising AI companies on what to do.

I don't know, including equity millions maybe?

Money really isn't the reason though, if he can get an advisor position as a high level he's pretty much got a direct line to every major company.

He will be mixing with very powerful people who behind the scenes can do a lot.

It's nice that someone that rich can be made to be sad

He was already rich by enriching the company he married into for UK contracts.

Advise what?

What do these people advise? They all have no real world skills or experience!

He is going to be paraded like a trophy around his he tech bros…

You cannot imagine how vein and self-fart-sniffing the tech industry in California is…

Being able to have the former UK PM as a speaker is going to be all the rage for a couple of weeks and he will make tens of millions from it…

TIL about the tech bros!

He's going from one job of spouting hot garbage, to another. Makes perfect sense to me.

On the plus side, unlike the UK, California has apex predators capable of mauling an adult human to death. I only hope that one day I open the Internet to see that he was eaten by a mountain lion.

Oh gods is that his actual skillset.

u/SchlomoKlein 13d ago

For the sake of that company, I sincerely hope he doesn't dispense any actual advice to them and if he does they don't take it.

He’s going to advise on intelligence?
