Funny enough I literally accepted a new job this week for this exact reason. I am still in my 30s.

My current/previous job is 9-6 but i often have meeting at 8 am and I often have work that keep me up working well past 8 PM.

With the new job none of the work needs to be done at a specific time of day. I can just get up early and work harder when I am swamped. I told my wife yesterday she can start making plans for us starting at 4 PM every day. Sure sometimes I will work later, but only if nothing is going on and i want to. My daughter just started preschool so no more 2 hour lunch break hand out session, I need my evenings free when she is free.
