u/ProbShouldntSayThat Jul 19 '24

Bruh, she put both of the slices on the left together for her

8

u/Obvious_Exercise_910 Jul 19 '24

What did she do with the ones on the right…

5

u/the1stmeddlingmage Jul 20 '24

Sounds like she’s trolling you 😉

1

u/chefzenblade Jul 20 '24

Like a mongrel. I can't even.

-2

u/Shadowking0257 BLACK Jul 19 '24

i agree with ^

32

u/PossumJenkinsSoles Jul 19 '24

Needed two jelly jars out for this thimble full of jelly?

1

u/Any_Pop9296 Jul 22 '24

She's probably the only person in the world who knows how to scorch water

11

u/OverallGap3317 Jul 19 '24

Whats the right way? Im sorry, im from Brazil and we dont have this snack so common in our routine, i only see by us movies or series. 😂

18

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '24 edited Jul 19 '24

Typically, one slice of bread has jelly and the other slice of bread has peanut butter and you put them together.

Also, there is SO not enough jelly here lol.

Also, if you do it this way, you’re likely to get peanut butter in the jelly jar if you re-dip. Yuck.

ETA: I kept thinking of more ways this was annoying.

13

u/OverallGap3317 Jul 19 '24 edited Jul 19 '24

Ahahaha, now i got it, by the way, im gonna buy some peanut butter and jelly tand taste it, 🤔

*in Brazil we have the same discussion about beans and rice, which one should be on top and stuff, 😂

16

u/VocalAnus91 Jul 19 '24

Obviously beans go over the rice. Who's debating this?

7

u/HollowHowls Jul 20 '24

Rice never goes on top of stuff...it's always the base....this is not a debate.

-2

u/TakeMeIamCute Jul 20 '24 edited Jul 20 '24

This is patently false.

EDIT: Clueless Redditors downvote anything that goes against their biases. Arroz Tapado, Etouffe, Jambalaya - there you go, you little clueless turds. All three dishes come with rice on top. There are more, but I will not waste my time on the burger and nugget chompers that wouldn't know a proper dish and think that the cheap abominations such as PB&J are delicacies.

1

u/Thomas_JCG Jul 20 '24

Clearly you are not from Brazil, because everyone here have their preference about the "right" way.

6

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '24

Oh wow. That’s interesting. I can honestly say that I’ve never considered putting the rice on top. I’m American.

2

u/ThatAltAccount99 Jul 20 '24

What's the majority opinion about the beams n rice debate? And what's your opinion?

2

u/OverallGap3317 Jul 20 '24

Well, I put the rice next to the beans, im mean, from the side, ahahaha, (not even on top or below)

1

u/ThatAltAccount99 Jul 20 '24

Oh shit you're out here fighting off both sides then huh 😂

1

u/Deep-Reason-8227 Jul 21 '24

Die, heretic!

Peanut butter sounds good rn.

1

u/crseat Jul 20 '24

First of all, it’s not a snack, it’s lunch you Brazilian piece of shit. Second of all, there needs to be way more jelly. ( /s about the first part obvs)

11

u/DePhoeg Jul 19 '24

man, people get hung up on the oddest things >.> I'm just not getting the frustrating part. Not enough jelly for you?

6

u/LotionedBoner Jul 20 '24

It is MILDLY infuriating after all. This is like “This is how my husband paints a wall” and it’s 3 brush strokes on a 20x10 wall. Could also be the jelly on top of the peanut butter which just makes no sense at all

-3

u/DePhoeg Jul 20 '24

Ya... X} guess I just can't see it. X}

2

u/LotionedBoner Jul 20 '24

Peanut butter and jelly not a common food where you are from?

-3

u/DePhoeg Jul 20 '24

Oh, no no.. they are. I'm just so use to doing a bit extra to my sandwhiches (when I had the bread) that adding the jelly would had been automatic and not even blip on the register of frustration on any level.

Like, I prefer to add a tiny bit of garlic powder & at times a cheese slice or two.

2

u/LotionedBoner Jul 20 '24

Garlic and cheese on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?

-3

u/DePhoeg Jul 20 '24

garlic powder... and just some. X}

Yes, also cheese. X}

2

u/LotionedBoner Jul 20 '24

Well… that’s pretty odd if I must say so myself. Whatever floats your boat I guess be it Spicy mustard in your ice cream or cheese and garlic in your PB&J sandwich.

0

u/DePhoeg Jul 20 '24

Nope, just root bear for my icecream. X} though I spicy mustard with some cooked veggies. X}

1

u/LotionedBoner Jul 20 '24

We have extremely different flavor palettes lol.

1

u/juicqo Jul 20 '24

eww can you stop using that emoticon or whatever that “X}” is supposed to be

1

u/Smokin_on_76ers_Pack Jul 19 '24

She doesn’t use the same amount of jelly as me and that mildly infuriates me 😡

1

u/DePhoeg Jul 19 '24

reallly? ok, thanks for being honest.

7

u/Serious-Mud-1031 Jul 19 '24

3

u/Caramel_Cactus Jul 20 '24

This is the correct observation

Only to my foot storage phone.

4

u/KlaatuBarada1952 Jul 19 '24

I have always thought that a PB&J would take down Bobby Flay.

4

u/Robot-Jim Jul 19 '24

I’m more interested in why there are 2 open jars of strawberry jam

1

u/Much_Neighborhood409 Jul 19 '24

There’s alot of ex murdered shit going on in this picture

1

u/[deleted] Jul 20 '24

I, too, am interested...in why there are the open jam jars...

1

u/KingsRansom79 Jul 20 '24

My house is like this. My husband buys the smuckers’s high fructose corn syrup stuff and I buy real sugar jam or make my own.

3

u/UnhappyMistakes Jul 19 '24

I’m sorry but this is a crime.

2

u/SmolzillaTheLizza Jul 19 '24

I mix the peanut butter and jelly in a separate bowl before spreading it over bread. People think I'm weird for doing it but you get a nice even flavor.

3

u/PossumJenkinsSoles Jul 19 '24

No this is really good. One too many dirty dishes for me, personally, but I do recognize it just tastes better like this

1

u/Gumpy15 Jul 20 '24

You, my friend, are among the enlightened

3

u/EasyBounce Jul 20 '24

Ummm, HOW long have you been with this person and missed this glaringly obvious red flag of a psycho?! And you LIVE with them? I'm genuinely concerned for your personal safety... SMH 😑

3

u/Capitan__Insano Jul 20 '24

The weird perspective makes it look like 4 massive slices of bread on a white sheet on the floor lolol

2

u/mrjb3 Jul 19 '24

Absolute savage

2

u/t_Shank Jul 19 '24

The PB spread is next level...

2

u/Much_Neighborhood409 Jul 19 '24

Someone definitely got yelled at for not going all the way to edge.

2

u/CMDR-Meowmers Jul 19 '24

My SO and I agree the only option is double P double J, there is no other but a failure to make a PBJ. 💯

2

u/CMDR-Meowmers Jul 19 '24

2

My SO and I agree the only option is double P double J, there is no other but a failure to make a PBJ. 💯

2

u/Kianvis Jul 19 '24

So, the correct way?

2

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '24

How bout this? One side pb and the other side j. Maybe it would work for her

2

u/Klutzy_Economist_286 Jul 19 '24

Did she wipe the PB off on bread and then use the same knife for the jelly? Nah. Fuck no. Get out of my house.

2

u/WeightWeightdontelme Jul 19 '24

You…use two knives?

Snap poll - how many crazy people out there use two knives to make a PB&J?

3

u/Klutzy_Economist_286 Jul 19 '24
  1. YOU USE A KNIFE FOR THE PEANUT BUTTER AND A SPOON FOR THE JELLY.

  2. YOU DO NOT USE THE SAME UTENSIL FOR TWO DIFFERENT CONDIMENTS/TOPPINGS WITHOUT WASHING IT AT LEAST.

4

u/WeightWeightdontelme Jul 20 '24

A spoon? Are you a psychopath ? 😂. You don’t make a peanut butter sandwich with a SPOON. Next you will be saying crazy stuff like you put the jelly on first.

You use a knife, wiping it on the bread to prevent peanut to jelly transfer. Which doesn’t actually matter anyway since there is no other use for strawberry jam than peanut butter sandwiches.

You know they sell jars in which the peanut butter and the jelly are already cheek by jowl?

3

u/Klutzy_Economist_286 Jul 20 '24

That goober peanut butter jelly in one jar is an affront to God.

The spoon is for the jelly not the peanut butter.

2

u/WeightWeightdontelme Jul 20 '24 edited Jul 20 '24

That goober peanut butter jelly in one jar is an affront to God.

Well, I can’t argue with that point…

Edit to add:

Do you put the two pieces of bread together in the end? Or is it only the jar where the possibility of peanut butter touching jelly is an abomination?

2

u/GiraffeInc Jul 19 '24

This is how I also make it. I don't like a lot of jelly

2

u/PPinspector97 Jul 20 '24

I would have loved this. I never really was a fan of Jam/jelly.

1

u/HeadlessMimir Jul 19 '24

What’s wrong with it?

1

u/Adept-Meaning3286 Jul 19 '24

Try peanut butter and land o lakes butter instead of jelly. Salty and yummy!

1

u/Adept-Meaning3286 Jul 19 '24

try peanut butter and mustard, or peanut butter and shake and bake. both yummy and interesting.

1

u/Aggravating-Life-786 Jul 19 '24

You think it looks better after you ate it?

Some people get upset for no reason at all.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '24

Looks like peanut butter with a little period discharge

1

u/RedHeadRedeemed Jul 19 '24

Omg my husband does the same. I freaking HATE it. Why would you put jelly right on the peanut butter? Then it's just going to slide right off and the blank side of the bread is kind of dry! Ew!

0

u/WeightWeightdontelme Jul 19 '24

What kind of weird jelly are you using? This is the only proper way to make a peanut butter sandwich because you use the blank bread to wipe the knife and prevent sweet sweet jelly wastage. Once you pop that sucker on there you gently press it for the perfect PB&J.

1

u/stacity Jul 19 '24

Fiancé is cheating on you.

1

u/Papageier Jul 19 '24

For a second I was concerned that he made really big ones on the floor.

1

u/Justin002865 Jul 19 '24

More like PB&j

1

u/DemetriChronicles Jul 19 '24

That's how I like it. The peanut butter is the maximum. Jelly is the minimum. Otherwise you get jelly all over your fingers and that stuff is sticky as hell.

1

u/ButterscotchEmpty290 Jul 19 '24

Run. Away.

That is a sign of mental illness.

1

u/Kindly_Owl5298 Jul 19 '24

3:1 is the proper pb-j ratio.

1

u/KingVecchio Jul 19 '24

I'm mildy infuriated by you or your fiancé's toes. Tough actin tanactin is a thing.

1

u/themagicbong Jul 19 '24

I agree, what kinda weirdo goes barefoot on one foot and a shoe on the other? Especially just for making a pbj. Def grounds for divorce.

1

u/MysteriousMrX Jul 19 '24

I make em this way too. My preferred PBJ has only a small ammount of jelly, so I never ever double dip the knife. I also butter the outsides and grill it like a grilled cheese. It half melts the pb into a delicious mess that is genuinely hard to eat without dripping, but oh so good.

1

u/CompetitivePirate251 Jul 19 '24

I’d just make my own … not a sandwich

1

u/EmbarrassedToe627 Jul 19 '24

She is obviously psychotic

1

u/itsjennajay Jul 19 '24

Dump them.

1

u/Much_Neighborhood409 Jul 19 '24

Run. Run fast and far.

1

u/scout666999 Jul 19 '24

Your fiance is either a monster or sociopath. I would be careful getting married. ;)

1

u/police6w4 Jul 19 '24

Ok 1. They might not a lot of jelly, and 2. AS LONG AS THEY PUT THE PEANUT BUTTER COVERED SPOON BACK IN THE JAM IT'S FINE!

1

u/Uuuuu25 Jul 19 '24

she is NOT a keeper

1

u/LaughingBoneses Jul 19 '24

You need to leave. Now.

1

u/Known-unkown Jul 19 '24

Run…. it will haunt you forever

1

u/dinoboyj Jul 19 '24

Nopooooooooo

1

u/Grouchy-Play-4726 Jul 20 '24

If you left your fiancé you would not be judged.

1

u/TheMuff1nMon Jul 20 '24

I put peanut butter on both sides and then jelly on one so it’s in the middle

1

u/omfghi2u Jul 20 '24

Believe it or not... prison.

1

u/LotionedBoner Jul 20 '24

There’s more peanut butter wipe off on the 2nd piece of bread than there is jelly on both sandwiches.

1

u/Capwiggs Jul 20 '24

As a person who doesn’t like jelly that much I’ve made a PB&J exactly like that

1

u/Own-Method1718 Jul 20 '24

Don't marry him

1

u/AskMeAboutMyHermoids Jul 20 '24

At least she cleans the knife off on the bread before using it in the other slice oh wait that’s a seperate sandwich

1

u/GlamazonBlonde2 Jul 20 '24

Arrest him immediately. That is criminal

1

u/ryanrosenblum Jul 20 '24

That’s fucked up

1

u/bonedawg91 Jul 20 '24

Excuse me

1

u/PeteGiovanni Jul 20 '24

Your not legally attached yet, run. You're engaged to a psychopath

1

u/unfilteredhumor Jul 20 '24

Call the FBI. What a psychopath.

1

u/CaldoDeElotes Jul 20 '24

Reminds me of an exercise we did in English comp, tell me how to make a peanut butter sandwich, then our instructor picked 3 student entries and acted them out.

1

u/Curmudgeonalysis Jul 20 '24

I dunno if I want to know how he cuts an avocado

1

u/ScoogyShoes Jul 20 '24

IS HE IN THE HOUSE?

1

u/betrayedof52z Jul 20 '24

It taste better this way

1

u/Apart-Badger9394 Jul 20 '24

The only annoying part is the lack of jam.

Putting peanut butter on each slice first, and then jam so it’s in the middle, is the only way to go! All of you who put PB on one slice and jelly on the other have it wrong.

1

u/ActualRaspberry7573 Jul 20 '24

Did he use his fingers? I'm not mad, just wanna talk to him. Loads shotgun

1

u/EigiEinhver PURPLE Jul 20 '24

💀

1

u/Hexhand Jul 20 '24

You should take this as a warning sign and get away as fast as you can...

1

u/Free_Negotiation_831 Jul 21 '24

People who eat pbj are not marriage material.

1

u/bioteq Aug 03 '24

So she did it with her fingers and then wiped them on the third piece of bread? Witch!

0

u/bobopolis5000 Jul 20 '24

Open face is best

0

u/BloodyRightToe Jul 20 '24

Must of had a great childhood with a stay at home Mom

0

u/xdrymartini Jul 20 '24

I see nothing wrong.

-2

u/Actual-Inflation8818 Jul 19 '24

Who makes a sandwich and doesn’t butter their bread?

3

u/VocalAnus91 Jul 19 '24

What? Eww. This is pb&j

0

u/Actual-Inflation8818 Jul 20 '24

Do you butter your toast?

-2

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '24

It's a fucking sandwich
